Some of them found themselves beyond the Atilla line, as there was no resistance. The Greek soldiers and officers who so enthusiastically terrorized the Turkish Cypriot minority in the early 1970's dissapeared once the Turkish army landed! Instead of thanking Turkey for leaving them 62.5% of the Island they keep rejecting a bi zonal confederation!
