i hear its counter productive to give a dry cat food to cats with renal failure as you need to get in as much moisture as possible.

I had to put my cat to sleep today due to chronic renal failure, which is terminal. He went from being a healthy 15 lbs. down to just 5lbs. Though I couldn't handle being in the room during the procedure. Of course there are treatments, but they're costly and it would've been selfish keeping him alive for ourselves.
