i consider Loudness as pioneer of Asian Metal,out of Japan. At that time mid1980s, Loudness gave me a shock because i had thought Asian cannot play quality Metal.

I'm kinda starting on Japanese metal...I'm from Argentina and I'm AMAZED on the quality of the musicians in Japan...they're GREAT!

I started with Animetal now I'm listening to Anthem and Galneryus...

I owned the Higuchi-San "Dream Castle" back in '98 and I love the way he plays...Kinda weird this is the first time I ever hear about Loudness...they seem to be on the road for quite a while...plus Mike Vescera sang there before Malmsteen right?

I love Japanese metal, I LOVE JAPAN!! Cheers!!!

Maybe they weren't known in Argentina, but Loudness had some mainstream success in the US in 1985 with their song "Crazy Night". I remember other bands from around that era like EZO and Earthshaker but I don't remember much about them. Guess I should youtube them.
