I came up here in 1976 and spent a life time one year on the chain. It took me 30 years to get back but I came as soon as I could. I have traveled the world 3 continents 40 states and this is the prettiest place I have ever been
Great video. Brought tears to my eyes and warm memories of the best time of my life.... when I lived in Homer with my sonswhen they were small. Had to leave but hope to move back..... someday.... left a part of myself there........... thanx for the experience..
@2:25 What town is that? It looks like a perfect place to raise a family. I talked my wife into moving to Alaska in the next couple of years when our oldest one gets out of school. We fell in love with Kenai and are planning on going there. Anyways, any idea what town that is? Thanks for the video...
My husband and I have been lucky enough to travel all over the world - but no place holds a candle to Alaska. It is unquestionably the most beautiful place on earth, and the people are wonderful. We were there last year and are going back twice this year. Thank you for this video it makes us "home" sick.
It would be tough. Cold, cold winters with lots of darkness. Sun starts coming back in February, but it is tough to adapt if you're used to sun most of the time. Last summer, we had one day over 70 degrees with sun. The rest of the summer was overcast and chilly. Not like that every summer, but about every other one. Just got finished with 3 weeks of 5 down to -13 degree weather. Finally broke right after Christmas. 7 months of snow from Sept to April.
wow this is very nice video, I have thought about moving to alaska many times but the snow is what has stopped me lol and the fear of that far away .. this video sure makes me doubt myself of why I havent it looks beauitful and peaceful
Just go do not let anybody stop you, enjoy what Alaska has to offer you will be happy you did. I was there last year and fell in love with it. Have fun

@jnsreptiles I believe that is Seward, Alaska. A small fishing village, but a great family town. Best summers I've experienced have been there.
