  • its a pager not a radio lachlant1984

  • that tone at 0:38 is exactely the same as our station in NC

  • That radio looks very small. When these radio start making the quick high pitched beeping noise, can you hear the beeps even with the volume control turned all the way down?

  • this is called a pager...and yes, you can still hear the paging even when it's turned all the way down

  • some actually have a vibration setting, which turns off the volume

  • It's not a 2-way radio. It's a pager. You cannot turn down the "beeps", but you can turn the beeps off and have the pager vibrate when activated. Classic 2-tone Motorola Minitor.

  • well one it isnt a radio, its a pager. and two yes you can. on the later versions of the minitor pager you can control the volume of the beeps. i know you can on the 5 not sure about the 4 but i think you can. and there is also a vibrate setting so instead of beeps to alert you, it just simply vibrates.

  • thats definitely a pager buddy

  • It depands on how you have it set up.

  • Man we do one at 6 am and 6 pm every day! truck and portables and spare radios! I think its overkill, and if i lived next door to my station i'd be pissed on a sat or sunday morning! STAY LOW!!!LCFD!

  • what frequency do you use?

  • i dont see the need to have a test once a day and definetly twice a day..i bet the people around the siren love that! you would have to listen carfuly to make sure it wasnt a call.
