Maybe they are like that now, what with 21st Century Breakdown, but back when they first started (I.E. 39/Smooth, Kerplunk, Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, etc.) they were some of the craziest sons of bitches in punk. Hell they turned Woodstock '94 into a freaking mud show (literally). I don't know much about The Offspring outside of "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" but Green Day used to be freaking crazy.

Alright lemme break it down, I've followed both bands since 1994 when I was 4 years old.
Green Day IS NOT better! Yes Dookie & Insomniac are legendary especially Insomniac but at least half of Nimrod is gay, Warning had its moments, Shenanigans is a total throwaway and American Idiot was just plain annoying. OFFSPRING have been consistently amazing on every release from the self-titled debut thru the masterpiece that is Rage and Grace.
That's like saying getting a blow job is better then gettin laid or whatever... They're both good man. Dookie as well as Smash put punkrock back on the map in the mid '90's so I'm really hoping you are not saying this because Greenday is being played on mtv again and they have some hitsongs nowadays. tbh offspring (specially the first albums) has some technically more advanced songs then Greenday, which doesn't make them better, just a bit more diverse in my opinion.
I like Green Day, but there is just nothing unique about their sound. Their old music sounds like a rip off of The Clash and there new music sounds like an attempt at ripping off U2. The Offpring on the other hand have a clearly defined sound and there is nothing else like it.
Dexter has said That he likes Green day But cause They both Got popular in the Mid 90's that every1 thought That There was a new Punk Revolution and He didnt even Consider Offspring as punk at that time; So They wouldnt go on tour together coz It would av Made Them look more Like a Punk band. Alright lemme break it down, I've followed both bands since 1994 when I was 4 years old.
Green Day IS NOT better! Yes Dookie & Insomniac are legendary especially Insomniac but at least half of Nimrod is gay, Warning had its moments, Shenanigans is a total throwaway and American Idiot was just plain annoying. OFFSPRING have been consistently amazing on every release from the self-titled debut thru the masterpiece that is Rage and Grace.
Therefore:

Dookie as well as Smash put punkrock back on the map in the mid '90's so I'm really hoping you are not saying this because Greenday is being played on mtv again and they have some hitsongs nowadays. tbh offspring (specially the first albums) has some technically more advanced songs then Greenday, which doesn't make them better, just a bit more diverse in my opinion.

I like Green Day, but there is just nothing unique about their sound. Their old music sounds like a rip off of The Clash and there new music sounds like an attempt at ripping off U2. The Offpring on the other hand have a clearly defined sound and there is nothing else like it.

Dexter has said That he likes Green day But cause They both Got popular in the Mid 90's that every1 thought That There was a new Punk Revolution and He didnt even Consider Offspring as punk at that time; So They wouldnt go on tour together coz It would av Made Them look more Like a Punk band.
