Actually they are planning on making the character of Superman a darker character. So if Superman is somehow controlled. He could be unleashed. Or possibly. Ther is no way in hell its a sequel to Returns.

Let's just all agree that the next Superman needs more action. From the looks of things the longer it takes to make it the more likely it is going to be rebooted anyway. Like I said, they don't know what to do yet.

Superman unleashed is not true, because Mark Miller and Brandon Routh both said that the WB is still hearing pitches so right now Superman is just up in the air. Nothing is official because WB has not decided what to do yet. Chances are that was an old post. Besides The President of DC comics stated that we won't know anything until Batman 3 gets on the way.

I see what you're saying, but I had to check it myself. Yes he was, but at the same time the modern superman that we know now has more of a moral standard and that's just the one I'm use to. Yes I would like him to be tougher and actually beat the crap out of bad guys, but at the same time I don't see him as a rogue character.

I think he should be throwing punches too, but Superman Unleashed kind of implies that "angry god" concept. Besides, Superman doesn't get unleashed, he can get angry, but he has a moral code. Hulk gets unleashed because he's rage monster, not Superman because it doesn't fit his character. See what I'm saying?

I hope Sup does get a sequal because I loved Superman Returns It's wat Superman 3 should have been. I'll gointo more details but I think it's easier for people to wach Superman the movie, Sup2, and Returns in arow and you would see what I meant.

I heard this the other day. doesn't seem like singer's willing to give up. personally though, I would rather see that as the reboot title. as for the wachowski's, if they can make a group of people in trenchcoats and sunglasses epic, imagine what they can do with superman.

I don't think Singer has the sensibilities for Superman. And the working title is "Superman Unleashed"? I hope not. Hulk gets unleashed. Maybe even Wolverine. Not Supes. Why don't they just have the guys that write the comics write a good script? That's what they did for the final season of Star Trek: Enterprise. They had a husband wife team that wrote a bunch of novels write almost the entire 4th season. It rocked. The corporate eggheads at WB have no idea what they're doing.

Other sources say Unleashed is just a working title or pitch so I doubt that's the official title. Like I said, until the studios themselves say something just consider this another rumor.
