@camilian123 there's a wire fender to keep your legs away from the manifold in all reasonable circumstances: was aware that the manifolds were there, but didn't have an issue with the heat generated by them.
I saw one of their pearlescent red one's in Blowing Rock, NC last year...up close and personal. At first I couldn't see it and heard it loping like crazy, I thought sweet another Camaro's fixin to pull up...but nope a chopper...Couldn't help but smile and laugh in astonishment. The guy riding it was friendly and vert informative, then of course he leaves and gets into it making the hair on your neck stand up.
Sadly I've not got that sort of deathwish - well, sadly in terms of the potential video - and certainly not while the owner and a video camera is watching ;-)
I don't think it is a reverse lever, notice he doesn't actuate the clutch.
It may be a "free spool" lever to allow the bike to be pushed backwards (or forwards) without having to push the weight of the transmission gears.
A similar lever can be found on the Rascal Scooters, Fat people drive on in Walmart.
A fun thing to do on a weekend "find someone in Walmart on a Rascal, and turn that lever (secretly)" then watch them go nuts pushing the buttons, without moving.
It is a gearbox isolator: shame it's not a reverse because it really would benefit from that on British roads ... and I would have been able to take it further back on the first sweep.
what is used for a transmission on this bike?

imagine if ur leg touches the manifold! u should make a protective shield on that, or let ur legs hang further back.

Does the bike belong to the MD of the Hogs Back Brewery by any chance?

Not sure: wasn't when I rode it, but I'm pretty sure it's the only one in the country in this trim, and know that Jimbo's sold it since.

Aah, well it is now then. I saw it 2 weeks ago when I went to get some beer. Almost made me make a small mess in my pants

I'm waiting to see it happen though, probably will one day here on YouTube.
I have seen plenty of "I can't believe he did that accidents" online, but not the example I gave.
P.S. you don't need Reverse, just need to do some squat exercises to strengthen those spindly legs you have.

Pretty Scooter.
Do you have any Blooper reels?
You know, a New Guy to V-8's, snaps the throttle a little too hard, and dumps it on the right side, from the torque? Like that...

Wow! Is it me or did I see him kick that beast out of reverse??!?! haha... I guess you'd need it with a hoss like that.. Ride on y'all!!
