  • you will need to turn round your TV and see what label your laptop is connected to for starters, then you need to adjust the screen settings on it and then caching

    off u go

  • have you tried right clicking into intel graphics and media options and changing the resolution to suit the resolution on the television.

  • the reason would be your tv, not your pc. and seeing how this is probably obvious at this point, the problem is that your tv's PC-In port is either a.) broken or b.) your tv's firmware is not functioning properly (aka, may need updated)... idk if you've gotten this fixed yet in well over two years, but oh well. also, the guy talking about there being pins that the tv needs in order to work is bullshit. VGA is a video STANDARD. if the tv has VGA, then it uses the SAME standard as everything else.

  • i have the same problem but my tv is an ilo an it has hdmi an dvi no vga i got a vga to hdmi an it still didnt work....?? if you have an suggestions pleas let me know thanks man

  • my computer didnt bring that cable what can i do its an hp laptop

  • i would imagine your hdtv would vga on your screen when you select with the remote

  • buy a hdmi adaptor 4 your comp n connect it to your tv wit an hdmi cable

  • I was having trouble with this too, but I messed around with the display settings until I got it. What I did was make the second monitor (#2, your tv) my main monitor. Than I extended the desktop onto that monitor and unchecked the "extend the desktop onto this monitor" option from the first monitor (#1, which is your laptop). Now everything shows up on my tv and my laptop monitor is blacked out. All you have to do is set the options back to default when you're done. Hope that helps!

  • COULD SOMEONE HELP ME PLZZZ

I used to connect my laptop to my tv by HD Cable... but now when i connected it doesn't work... I mean it works only when it loads after that it looses connection could some1 please tell me what should i do?

  • try VGA-HDMI

  • Search for: Solving the Samsung HDTV "PC Input is greyed out" Problem

Search that here on YouTube and you'll find a work around to fix this problem.

  • Solution: a typical VGA cable has inactive pins since PCs don't use them but samsung TVs require these pins. I haven't been able to find a compatible VGA cable but I emailed Samsung support and I'm waiting on them.

  • can you let me know please when you find out please, many thanks.

  • use a vga/vga cable its the big blue one in the back of most pc's plug into laptop and oher end into back of tv

  • @Stimonater i dont understand what do u mean by @stimonater please ???

  • how di you do it please ??

  • nice video lenght

  • did you ever fix you problem?

if you did make a video on how you did!?

  • Please forgive my admittedly elementary question: what kinds of cool things can I do by connecting my TV and lap top - outside of perhaps having a larger screen to work with?

  • The Display Settings at end was the right window you have to change settings. You see some settings below the two Boxes and it has a check box for "Extend to this display" check the box then click accept, OR press FN + (Monitor looking Picture in F# Keys)

  • Fn + F5

  • you will have to press Fn - F3/F5/F11/F8

LOOK AT THE FUCTION keys and there should be one with a picture of a laptop on its side and a little moniter type icon press that key and fn it will show picture on your tv. this should work becuase my friend has the same v as you do but a 32'' and it worked.
