as a moonkin in Wrath before I quit i was pumping out close to 6.5 to 7k dps in the gear i have on the armory, and that was my off spec.

DPS is not objective because the figurine is afflicted by other-player debuffs which may not be on your target next time.

Well... I'm not totally sure if other players' debuffs count on my dps but I'm pretty sure they don't.

moonkins are so cute...i love the smell of roasted chicken in BG's. all those druid tears must have done something with the dev's deciding to normalize dmg between pure's and hybrids

Yep that was blizzard's intention . Pure dps now should do 5% more than ANY hybrid. And that is because hybrids bring more utility to raids. As for PvP I don't do any :) But moonkins with their new talents are a serious threat. Carefull with that starfall bufoot or you won't be able to eat any chicken for a while XD kkthxbai :D

starfall gets one thing......ICEBLOCK.....ehh utility is debatable, moonkin heals are a joke and the raid isnt going to sacrifice dps for weak heals. tree dps is a joke and I would hope the raid doesnt want a healing class dps'n. druid tanks are far inferior to warrior and pally tanks. outside of battle rez and 5% crit you there isnt too much "utility" left. with new talents mages now offer 10% crit raid wide and up to 13% crit for another caster.I do like the new aoe push back animation

Sorry to say but it's not making sense what you say .. Moonkin does NOT heal in PVE ... he is a dps. And Tree of Life only Heals in a raid.

As for DPS in a raid The moonkin fits that role really well and trust me resto druids are topping the meters and maybe the best raid healers.

thats the point i was making...everyone talks about hybrid utility but outside of a battle rez each spec stays in its own tree. there is no doubt that druids fit very well in each role..

sorry for the confusion i was just saying that as far as utility goes hybrids dont really go outside of the spec to provide something extra they arent good at.

im 73 at mo but my highest crit with starfire at 70 was 9.5k had it sitting on critline untill i hit 12k on mechano lord with his polarity buff , so far highest wrath i have ss by critline is 6999 only got 1100 sp 18% crit 120 haste love Doomkin :)

Hehe as for the threat it really is no problem as i see it. From 70 to 80 I played only some heroics as balance and then respecced to resto.

Also count the fact that Night Elves can Shadowmeld = 0 aggro ;-).

If you plan to raid as moonkin have a warrior throw you a Vigilance ;-) It's always nice to have less threat though

eh, my balance druid crits 5.5-6.5k at lvl 70. fully buffed i get up to around 7k(tho it doesnt happend that often), so i dont see a huge improvement there, tho my wrath rarely crits over 3.5k. usually at 2.7k-3k.

Judging by his spell ticks and how often he reapplies Moonfire, im guessing he uses a Starfire and Moonfire Glyph for his two major glyphs. His ticks on Insect Swarm are too low to be Glyphed...mine are around 500 with an IS glyph

That's true I use starfire and moonfire both glyphed. ATM it's the best glyph combo for a PVE Moonkin :) for my 3rd Major Glyph I might go for the insect swarm OR the Rebirth one ... I'm still thinking of it!

Well the thing is that COE doesn't stack with the Earth and Moon Effect so it's the same thing isn't it ? ;-)

So what you seeing is truly solo dps numbers!

These are the Test Dummies on the PTR. So if you read the Video Information you would see that it's about testing the DPS. Watch it in High Quality. :)
