@DragonSkin342 Pretty much. This is what Activision does every year and charges you $60, then throws in a few map packs, $15 for 4 maps. We created this mod and distribute freely and capable of having 4gb of custom maps on the server all free. The big companies locked down blackops so something like this wasn't available. No mod tools (worth anything 32dvars give me a break) and no free maps. COD is the same game every november with new skins and a hefty price tag.

@797raptor This mod was made way before cod6 mw2 the hackering was released. In my opinion COD5 WAW has better graphics and gore. Plus you don't have to get your friends to buy the other games if you wanted to play together. You can play a mod for free that gives you the modern weapons. Anyway those days are long gone and now we play Black Ops and BFBC2.

@BloodyiBall0 Yes the image files were edited and added along with the material files, xmodels, xanim, etc for it to render correctly in the game. The bone reference for the soldiers was also edited for ads to work correctly. Weapon files were converted to cod5. Pulled sounds from cod4 theres also that matter of editing all the language files for correct weapon names, editing images for correct images in the menus, edit achievements to read correctly with those weapons... Yep.. Just skins

Server is shut down and we dont play codwaw any more. We focus on BlackOps and BFBC2 - UGC - United Gaming Corp is using my mod and running a server pretty much identical to what we did. You can probably find their server.

and search on the internet list for a server called modernweapons or somthing like that.

Vietnam mod is another good mod if ur interested in that one ;)

No..it's because WaW and MW1 have dedis..I mean they're more people playing on the PC for MW1 than MW2

@Cowbelltheoneandonly Well, although there are disavantages, I'd say the *big* one is the cost for clan players... but MW2 is just such a better game than MW1 that having to put up with a matchmaking system really doesn't bother me... the worst that can happen is a laggy host after all.

cant. IW locked modding capabilities on MW2. and it is really doughted that anyone will crack the code. however there are MW2 weapons ported to CSS
