  • Jeez, the tone coming off that strat is amazing! I was six years old when I first hard Clapton slamming away on a strat. I've been a strat cat ever since.

  • No offence meant, but I like Big Maceo Merriweather's version better.

  • Clearly the best number on the awesome Polydor video "The Cream of Eric Clapton". He gets a visitation by the Muse at 3:33, clear thru the end of the performance. Even The Master, Buddy Guy, sees it, and shakes his finger at EC, as if to ward off evil spirits. One of the most inspired performances I've ever seen. Chris Stainton is also right on target with the piano.

  • I think the piano player is Chris Stainton (he also plays on Claptons Crossroads concert 2007)

  • Thank you for your vidéo..

  • Who plays the piano ??

  • @TIK5C I think the piano player is Chris Stainton (he also plays on Claptons Crossroads concert 2007)

  • @GuiriGuitano i think there was no crossroads 2007, not sure, i may be wrong

  • @rohanbahadur92 I was in the front row in 2007... and luckily enough, 2010. So trust me,

there was a Crossroads in 2007.

  • @3434austin hehe. i have no idea why i wrote this. i myself have seen the whole concert of 2007, maybe i didnt see till then.

btw u r damn lucky i must say, its one of the best concerts i have seen .

  • This is top notch to say the least! The laid back blues sound that is dynamic but a little bit restrained is my favorite type! It is exactly why blues is considered the "coolest" of all music! Love it!! Joey Vaughan "World Blues Attack"

  • I wanna touch like Clapton

  • Is Buddy Guy's amp even on?

  • @manferot I have a recording from another source, the mix is much better, it's not that eric's amp was on 10 ;)

  • i like this song =)

  • i person either has shit for brains or missed the like button

  • I want this song the Day of my Death.

    Clapton Forever

  • buddy is a god

  • nice cover

  • At what point in the song is Eric Clapton NOT soloing?

  • clapton is far from overated.overated is a status given to one trick ponies that are predictable.eric clapton is anything but and i should know having saw him live many times over the years when no performence or song sounded anything like the one before.if you like jonny winter go and watch jonny winter videos not eric claptons

  • incredibly good !

    Wahnsinn !

  • OK, I was wrong about Engelbert

  • Johnny Winter, Peter Green, John Mayall, Jeff Beck, Engelburt Humperdinck...

  • Stones, Beatles, SRV, Elvis, Yardbirds, Zep... the list goes on.

  • why racist? because (in your view) he ripped off black music? long queue of people in the same boat.

  • Comment removed

  • This performance would have been just as good without Buddy, his contribution was pretty insignificant.

  • Well, great musicians are kinda humble...

  • Ripping off black musicians by taking what they started and improving it? i don't think so..

  • Listen to Howling Wolf Muddy Waters Robert Johnson Big Bill Broonzy Sleepy John Estes Sonny Boy Williamson etc. If you still think that Clapton improved on that then go and find a night school class in music appreciation.

  • @goatface1000 But RJ ripped off (too?). Howlin Wolf and Muddy Waters didnt even write songs (just very few). Youre right they inspired him but if you would know the blues you would know that it is a normal thing to take other peoples kind of playing. Did you ever hear "kokomo blues"? And then listen to sweet home chicago. And when EC "ripped off" their songs you can say that that is a tribute to them. And they are all older than Eric Clapton so in that time it was easier to make a new stile as

  • @goatface1000 today because not much people were before you. The early bird gets the worm.

  • When Jimi Hendrix went to London in 1967 he wanted to meet Clapton, who already was a legend... Buddy Guy, BB King and many other greats said that he is one of the best guitarists ever... And you say he is overrated? Come on, please...

  • @goatface1000

Had it not been for Eric. I wouldn't know who the rest of them were. Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton are each other's biggest fans and very good friends.

    Clapton a racist? I don't think so.

  • wow you clearly have no clue what your talking about

  • Buddy Guy sucks?

    Ho, ho, ho.

    get a life sista

  • Buddy Guy! love his music, you should appreciate such a great artiist as he.

  • should have let Buddy Guy play a solo insted of that wack piano solo

  • @gav25x Buddy is pretty much regarded as the best solo player on the planet, well thats what Clapton says

  • Well he certainly doesn't show it in any of the videos i've seen of him so far...

  • @gav25x Watch rock me baby at crossroads, you get to compare him to all the greats and you see he is the man

  • @gav25x

It will probably take more than just fuck'n Youtube to from an opinion on anyone dont you think? Do you think?

  • in english please?

  • Great! Thank you.

  • If anyone has any authentic memorabilia from these shows which they'd be prepared to sell, please contact me. Preferably a concert poster.

  • Muito bom! (Brasil)

  • Why is Tom Petty playing the piano?

  • that is Chris staton. the last name maybe spelled wrong. not Tom Petty. you here Clapton say Take it Chris then he does the piano solo

  • Excelent video, I love to hear it and see the video in nice sinchronization with the audio.

  • the best

  • Did anybody notice how hard to sing this song is ?

    Six stars!!!!!

  • this is simply the best version of 'worried life blues' I've ever heard, together with Otis Spann's. Clapton is a wonderful blues singer, beside obviously being the greatest guitarist, in my opinion. Chris Stainton on the piano is amazing, as always...but what was Buddy Guy doing there??

  • they mixed clapton too high and buddy too low, you cant even hear buddy. Some says Clapton got really pissed after this show when he realize how low they mixed buddy.

  • Are you the horse's mouth, or the other end?

  • great stuff

  • my favorite version of this song and key to the highway which they also did are by freddie king from the album "getting ready..." i can see why clapton likes freddie king so much.

  • Virtuosism in the strict sense of the word. Pure and great. THIS IS WHAT BLUES IS ABOUT.

  • My all time favourite song! I want it played at my funeral. Is there any Clapton clips of him circa 1980/81 with Chris Stainton, Dave Markee, Albert Lee and Henry Spinetti?? Best line up ever!

  • Simple as the blues can be, but still well played.I like it!!!

  • Thanks for the uplaod man, been wanting to see this for about 20 years Woohoo!

  • This is the way it is supposed to be done!

  • this is quality chuck berry all the way

  • Buddy IS the Blues!!

  • Clapton is wonderful
