  • Slash - Awesome.! Let me know if I can be any assistance. I'd be glad to help.

Deadmeat - Yeah it was one of my first RC upload. I try to put better music up or none at all. Depends on the background noise.

  • working on a track right now aha nice track

  • Thanks for all the posts and comments.!

Track is lite with outdoor spot lights attached to the fence, deck, trees, driver stand.. And then I have a 2 side by side construction spot light on side of track. Total of 8 lights.

Track is outlined with drainage pipe

  • What kind of stuff did you use to make the borders?

  • how do you light it

  • cool track

  • Ha ha, nice work! Cool. :-)

  • I used to have a track in my backyard I used to think was awesome. But yours is like 1000% nicer, lol.

  • you sir, are my hero.

  • frontyard

  • thats sweet man

  • Okay thanks man

  • @14hoover - Thanks, yeah cant get enough of racing so thats why I had to make a track available at all times. Check out my buddies page, bjs1785 and view the Slash 2WD and 4x4 track that we re-designed. It was designed for the SCT. But I just built a frame for the jump and instead of a plywood ramp, I just packed it with dirt so its got a natural dirt surface but the dirt wont move since the lane went around it.

  • awsome track iv had all kinds of rc cars and trucks but i want to step it up a notch im about to get a madbash nitro gas short course truck and i wanna make me a track something simular to this in my back yard i wanna know how did you make the 2 big main jumps over the track and the other one will be greatly appreciated if you reply to this awsome track!!

  • nice track

  • Thanks for all the views and comments.. Check out the new video I just posted. My buddy and I redesigned it for 1/10 SCT and we run our Slash 4x4s on it. 10x better now.!

Borders of track are drainage pipes found at hardware stores, and to keep em down I used between 12 to 16 inch spike nails.

  • man, my wife would kill me if i turned my backyard into that.

heck, thats nicer than the indoor track at the hobby shop!

  • Best use of a backyard PERIOD.

  • I Really Like Your Track Man! Ijust Started To Build My Backyard Track, You Should Take A Look At My Video And Let Me Know What You Think. Still Pretty Raw Though. :-P

  • awesome track

  • what did you use for the borders on the track?? please respond nice track btw very awesome XD

  • "Wife, maybe you shouldn't take a look to backyard in few months..."

  • well done very cool thumbs up

  • building a 1/16 scale track--- I really like the layout....giving me ideas....nicely done

  • you should put little bumps or a big ramp with landing ramp where the car is at 1:05

  • my rc car will tear up that track

  • I use a special weed killer that they use before they pave roads so it's pretty strong. And plus my buddy and I till the track before every season and race about 2x a week so all that keeps the track all dirt. Plus a lot of maintenance.

    Thanks for the comments.!

  • yeah! thats right! 1/16 for the win!!!

  • what about the grass growing through?

  • amazing track looks awsome

  • did u put that dirt onto grass? or was it already dirt

  • I've gotta hand it to ya man, you are living my dream! Excellent layout .. Right on!!!!!!!

  • THIS TRACK IS FUCKING AWESOME IT IS THE BEST BACKYARD TRCK I HAVE SEEN AND PROBABLY THE BEST TRACK ALL-AROUND I HAVE SEEN. DUDE YOU DID AN EXTRAORDINARILY JOB!

  • hmpf... I've sent the plans to the home-owners association for approval so I can build something like this in my backyard, and they've denied it, without giving any reason whatsoever. I'll call them on Monday to see what the hell. Did you have any problems like this for yours?

  • Great track!!!!! I've got a backyard track, but its not as nice as yours i'm trying to make the best of a small area available for my track.

  • Well when I bought the dirt and had it brought in I made sure to ask the people to fluff the dirt and it came in as soft as sand. As I put the dirt down I stepped on it spot by spot to make it flat. When that's all said and done just make sure you water the track down just enough BEFORE it puddles up and spray at a mist. This makes sure that you don't spray to hard and shift the dirt nor create sink holes with puddles. Keep doing this daily for a few days without racing on it do allow the d

  • im thinking of making a backyard track. how did you make this like to keep the dirt fine and packed down

  • Thanks fellas..

theyYCB - it took me about 4 months from designing it to actually to where its at now. But its a work in progress and theres a new video that I took of my race partner with the new addition the track. We added a downward banked turn into a double right after the triple so take a look at that video. The black piping on the ground is just drainage piping that you can get at your local hardware store. I got mine from lowes and it was about $52 dollars for 100ft.

  • nice track and nice mini e revo

  • nice track

  • Were do u get the pipe stuff around the outside from

  • I WANT IT!!!

Best backyard track ever how long did it take u to make.

  • looks like a pretty legit track good work man

  • Yeah the buy in may be tough. But take it from my experience, the maintenance is the more tougher part. Specially if your like me and everything has to be perfect. In the long run you'll enjoy it.!! Good luck and keep me posted on the work. Id like to see what you come up with.

  • Nice track. Looks like one of the designs I'm putting together for my backyard too. Hardest thing now is to get the wife's buy-in. :)

  • Thanks man. Its still a work in progress. Just finished creating a nice berm right after the triple into a double last night. Videos up soon.!

  • Nice lil track dude!
