Detonation destroyed everythink within definite radius, no matter was it inside the city or city walls or not. And, it can be, that the wall is somewhere between Black Mesa East and Ravenholm. And, as I already noticed, we can see the hole buildings in CIty 17after the exlosion.

It is however probably heavily contaminated by component's from the dark energy reactor that would destroy any living creatures to enter the city, and it is also impossible to traverse as most of the city will of been either ripped apart, including the ground beneath.

The inner city is likely to be a huge crater, as the dark energy reactor is actually BELOW ground level.

Actually Ravenholm appears to be almost connected to the outer parts of City 17, meaning he might of been effected by the detonation of the citadel.

For example, the canals are still within the outer walls of the city, and inside the outer walls appears to of been destroyed.

If Ravenholm is connected to Black Mesa East, it means that it can't be far from the Citadel.

But regardless, Valve has confirmed Grigori is dead, because I think part of the emotion of HL2 was losing him.

well ravenholm is around 20-40km from City 17 and by the looks of things at the start of ep 2 Father Grigori may have suvived but he is slightly insane so he may have fought to the end anyway
