Well I have to say that I haven't played the Wii version yet and I own a GameCube and TP too. I love this game, but I don't think that's better on Wii than on GC. The control is not so good. (I've got Smash Bros on GC and played the Wii one too and I think the control was awfully bad!)
hey u no the part when u are on the bird and u have to colect the spirits? i forgot all about my scences and i got sooo anoyed that i just turned off my Wii!!!
1: Personally, I like the GCN version much better (and before people say it, yes, I have played both versions, owning the GCN version and playing through the latter half of the game at my friends house with the Wii version), because I find that it controls much better that the Wii version. The aiming, though not as involving, is much more stable. Plus, at times in the Wii version I found it difficult to tell whether or not I was going to hit a pillar because of the camera
(cont) And, speaking of the camera, the GCN version is also better in my opinion because you have free control of the camera, which due to the limited buttons on the Wiimote was excluded in the Wii version. Also the GCN version has the better combat mechanics because it is easier to draw and swing your sword. Plus, the GCN version also allows for quicker spin attacks using the quick spin method of rotating the control stick in a circle and pressing "b". The Item buttons are also easier to reach.
(cont) Plus I've found that the sounds that come from the Wiimote are annoying and low-quality, although this is a rather minor gripe as the Wiimote can be muted. (and I'm not bashing the Wii version by any means, I'm just pointing out advantages with the GCN version over the Wii version in my opinion)
2: I found the Twilight-Hyrule to be quite meh. There was no change from regular Hyrule except that all the enemies got re-skined the music was changed.
(cont) Plus, with the Twilight-Hyrule, the devs went overly bloom-happy, drowning everything in bloom lighting that made everything - if you'll pardon my choce of words - every shade of piss-yellow, causing most items to blend into the environment (especially with water). I feel that games such as a Link to the Past and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes handled the darkworld concept much better, and the devs really could have used them as examples in their design of Twilight-Hyrule.
I don't think so. I think the biggest difference in that department is that it doesn't lag in the Wii version, whereas in the GC version at times it lags (like in the center room of the Water Temple when going through doors.
I haven't played the GC version, (only the Wii version) and I'm not really a massive Zelda fangirl (I've played only ever played a bit of Ocarina of Time at my friends house Twilight Princess once) but I really like the Wii version. And I love how they did the twilight.
The twilight is ok I guess, but it is, in my opinion, a bit too similar to the light/normal realm; i.e they could have changed the level design some more in the twilight.
How is the gamecube version more politically correct?
Because everything is opposite. All the Link's in past games are Left handed not right. They changed it to being right in this game and it's more correct.
Ok, that explaines the statement, but I think it's somewhat questionable to call the previous Zelda games more politically correct because of that alone. I mean rights and freedom of the left-handed population aren't exactly hot political topics. ;)
And besides, the standard Zelda environmentalism is still ever pressent.

How was the control bad? If you've got a GC controller, then the controls are almost exactly alike.

-The bloom lighting used in the Twilight-Hyrule made it look ugly in my opinion, and damn have I used "plus" a lot!
Sorry for the long-winded answer.

may not be a political topic but to some zelda fans they might not like this game for that reason.
SashaSilverMoon 3 years ago
I rather doubt it, but then again fanboyism can easily make the bizzare and unlikely plausible.

Which song is that. It sounds familier.

I think they did a wonderful job with the twillight. I think that they did a very good job. I can't think of an improvement.
