I have seen that you pretty much always wait before you are going to charge with your lancers until they get close. Dose that give them some sort of charge bonus?

i played as britain and if u dont finish your victory conditions in time you can just keep playing if u want to so there is no real limit

Cool battle, Austria are a favourite of mine. You're wrong to assume that because they're called Carabineers that Dutch heavy cav is any good; theyre actually only equivilant to weaker Prussian Cuirassier, not stronger French Carabineers. Your Cuirassier were more powerful, but he had the numbers and the chevrons helped. NTW naming is a lot more obtuse than in ETW.

You're absolutely right WarpGhost... I only realized that later when I started making a build for every faction. However at the time of the video (which was only my 2nd or 3rd battle to play on Napoleon) I thought they were superior. Thank you for pointing that out.

I love playing as Austria too. They have sturdy Hungarian Fusiliers and the infamous double-barreled rifles of the Grenzers make them a fearsome skirmisher force. I think the Austrians also have the most accurate artillery after the French and British.

However the French remain as my favorite faction mainly because of their outstanding cavalry. Next would come Austria and then Prussia.

But they are very balanced; they lack elite units and major strengths but they have no major weaknesses either make them a solid and flexible army to use.
