hes slowly dragging the pick up and down the strings in kind of a random pattern. If you have a guitar with some loud pickups and some amp gain/overdrive, which he does, it sounds pretty cool. He is also using a delay/echo effect so it adds to it. Basically Brad is awesome. I try to replicate his playing and sounds but really it cant be done.... only one Brad.
