It's actually kind of interesting, remembering all these rumours… It's surprising that they were actually pretty accurate in the end - facetime (rather than iChat, but close enough…), better screen & processor (not exactly as mentioned here but both mentioned and improved), 5MP camera with LED flash, multitasking…

this video is a fake...iphone HD or aka the 4G...might not come out this year because apple is focusing on the ipad...but, the 4.0 OS or 4G software is going to come out sometime this summer but only 3GS can support it..it enables multitasking, you can have apps stored in folders, change the background for the lock screen and the home screen, you have zoom in and zoom out for the camera, and many more...

@MrJaspertheman It is only rumors but it should be released the June 22., the iPone has a 1 year lifecycle. If you are interested in Apple/iPhone news try searching for 9to5mac, that cover pretty much anything apple touches. Though it is just rumors they often turn out to be correct! Especially with the new OS being released, it looks like Apple is getting really for the "iPhone HD".

Killa. My requirements were for N+1 HW in 2010. For N+0.5 720 30p may be enough I agree. But 1080p is becoming current this year on low cost mini-camcorders like new Kodak Playsport announced at CES. So why not ? Plus that would push to increase display resolution to 1920x1080 where it could rest for a few years then.

that is true but the new iphones are probably coming in june/july like every year so I doubt apple would push such a technology on the camera. For some reason it seems to me that iphone cameras are a tad bit behind everytime they come out, but thats just my opinion.

As for many geeks I was very disappointed, on Smartphone HW, by CES & MWC this year, with NO HW innovation. Nothing better than my 2 years old N95-8GB. Not sure if this is due to 2H10 4G networks start and vendors may reserve new HW innovations for 1st 4G phones then. Hope so. But if Apple was to launch an iPhone 4G that for once would not be N-1 on HW side, but let's say N+0.5...may be that could lead me to buy my 1st Apple product in my life, since I need to change my phone this year.

The touch sensitive case sounds like a bad idea, since most users that I know put the phone in a protective case.The you would have an unprotected phone ore you would have to pull it out of the case every time you use it.

I don't know about this iPhone 4G... I mean what more do you need from a single device that the iPhone 3GS doesn't have? The 3GS is already the best phone on the market, so I wouldn't expect many people to buy a new 4G version to replace their 3GS. But then again, if it's from Apple... people will buy it one way or another.

Sounds cool though, I'd buy it if I shit money. I'd be fine buying a 3GS no problem though.

The good thing about the touch-sensitive back would be that it would be able to unlock automatically when holding it.

On the other side that would be kinda annoying in some cases. Can't really imagine they would make this work.

About the front-facing camera. It would be really awesome if it could be used for face recognition, so that only yourself would have access to it..

I don't want a removable battery. You get longer battery life with a built in. And the iPhone battery now still can be changed just not as easy. Also by the time your battery did go out. You are probably ready for a upgrade or else buy one for 40 dollars online. I can't wait for 4G though.
