  • So how does the sleeving work for modular PSUs? I haven't taken the wires apart or anything yet, but are their pins on both sides?

Awesome video BTW, I need to go order some paracord!

  • @mindkiller01 Modular cables have pins in both ends, yes. In that case, you pop out the wire from both ends, apply heat shrink to the pin in one end. Then, pull the paracord over that pin and attach the paracord using the locking method for pins at the opposite end - and, finally, do the same in the end you pulled the paracord over. The procedure is the same as I show in the video, with the exception that you don't need to create an anchor in one end since pins are attached to both ends already.

  • thanks, great video, what size heat shrink should i be using ?

  • @LukeDalyDesigns The one I used here was from MDPC. The kind they say is best for their "small sleeve" range. I think it's approximately 6 mm and has a shrink ratio of 3 to 1.

  • I just recieved my order of paracord from FTWPC yesterday and i must say that it is absolutely amazing. so much better then the best sleeving on the market today imo

  • @perenberger1 Yes, it's really a shame that it's hardly possible to use Paracord for ALL cables in a PC...

  • awesome :)

  • @dipzyv Thanks - glad you liked it.
