When Bianca and Anton were talking and you see Edwin laying there in the background I keep expecting him to sit up like in a horror movie only that would have been great :-(
I watch again Ludwin's videos since beginning until this video.. and I can't stop crying..It's really sad..heartbreaking..I'll miss Edwin sooooo much...I'll miss the nice/sweet/funny/romantic scenes about Ludwin..

I have to say that I am totally hooked on this show and the acting and emotion far out does anything I have seen on British shows such as Eastenders or Corrination Street. I was in tears .

They say that crying once in a while is healthy - in that case I must be about to become the healthiest person on this planet as much as I've cried this last week and a half... Kudos to all the actors for portraying such heartbreaking sorrow and grief. And well done Raynor, for not completely breaking apart lying there listening to all that crying - how on earth did he manage to lie completely still like that? Although he did say on Twitter that he cried after watching the episode :-( RIP Edwin

I commend the for a brilliant acting job. By all the comments there is not a dry eye watching this video. So much emotion on display and be able to make everyone cry without audio is simply amazing. Kudos to all the actors. RIP in Edwin. Wishing you many success on your future endeavors Raynor.
This is tragic yet beautiful. Tragic that Edwin's family and Lucas will never see him or hear his voice again. It's beautiful that it brought the family closer together in the end.

Ya its best to mute the audio but with subtitle on. The 'silent' episode was leaking tears all over my face. Whatmore if i could hear lucas,bianca and sjeord cries, then that will cost me even more tears...Superb performances. My god i think this is the first soap drama that has many great actors. U cant find this kind of varied emotions from other soaps..

it is hard to say goodbye to Edwin. this was such a sad video. thanks GTSTfanMark for providing this video. in my opinion, i would have rather seen the character of Lucas die and had Edwin's character live on if someone had to die but I would have rather seen both Lucas and Edwin stay alive. I find the character of Lucas annoying at times. Lucas is a drama queen and a spoiled brat. I guess that is what the writers want Lucas to be. These are my opinions. I'm not trying to offend anyone.
Ferry is one of the most convincing actors I've ever seen on a soap.... I'm glad you had to mute parts. I think if I would have had the full experience I'd be heartbroken right now. More than I am, I mean :(

Very moving all the actors should be commended. The casket has to be one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. It was perfect for Edwin's character. It looked like a tight fit, and I can just imagine the actors having fun in rehearsal trying to get the top on and not banging his head or feet. I would love to know what company supplied the casket as the workmanship was gorgeous. I'm sure some will think I'm crazy to have mentioned the casket but it played a big part in these last scenes.
How Raynor managed to not even move when all the other actors around him where touching him was just great. I would love to found any outtakes of this scene.

This is very strange for me - I have watched a lot of shows where people have died, but I find myself actually grieving this time - so very weird that I could feel this way about a serial. And when I try and tell my partner about it, he thinks I am daft - he doesn't get it (and I guess I don't understand it either). He wants me to stop watching it.
@jhr459 I'm the exact same way, my boyfriend keeps telling me "It's just a TV series", and I know that, but my God, I'm crying like they were real people I know! I'm easily moved at the best of times, but never have I cried this much for a fictional character... I will miss Edwin/Raynor on the show, and hope the writers allow Lucas to grieve and not give him a new love immediately.

I don't know why everyone is ready for Lucas to try and start acting normal - they haven't even buried Edwin yet - jeez people (Ludo), cut him some slack and let him grieve for more than a couple of days.
Such a sad week of episodes and I have cried in all the acting has been amazing and you can really feel their grief. It's going to be weird seeing Lucas without Edwin. It is going to take er Lucas a some time to get over this and I am sure they will bring someone new in for him as we would want him to be happy and not alone. Thanks for uploading it's been wonderful and sad but well worth viewing. I will keep watching to see what happens next.
I noticed that most of the time, when a popular/young couple deviate to a different relationship or an infidelity occurs, it results in some type of tragedy. Usually they breaking up angry with each other and then past their stubbornness, get back together. Then an event occurs that forces someone significant to perish/leave within the couple or close to. But, if they only if they commit something immoral, the relationship seem to just rattle, but stay intact. Ughh!
Losing a child in a family is the MOST horrible thing to a family that can happen! Always will there be an empty spot at the table! Never ever will that spot be filled again! So I wonder how the Bouwhuis family will survive this! I think that they won't that this may be the end of the family as we know it! Each will go their own way: Bianca, Anton and Sjoerd.
@MirkodiWallenberg - my niece died at her 8 year birthday party. she had a congenital problem that no one knew about and she passed away AT HER PARTY. that was VERY difficult; I still cannot imagine how her parents made it through that.

I don't know why but Sjored crying gets me every time. I was able to hold the tears back until he starts crying. Then Lucas makes me cry even more. I will miss Edwin, but I am interested in seeing how this event changes these characters.
I watched Edwin and Lucas episodes again since the met the first time over the weekend. It really break my heart that they had been through a lot to finally find their true love and cut off short by the violent date of Edwin. I cried for Lucas and Edwin because our life as being different is not easy. But I am also happy for them that in the short time they were able to find their true love. They were match to each other. Goodby Edwin. Be strong Lucas, I can feel your pain.

@gm160 - I too watch from the US, but I have been watching for a LONG, LONG time. You should go back and watch all the previous episodes of Lucas/Edwin so you can get a feel for what they have gone through
so sad great acting by all do they have soap awards like in the uk because ferry deserves one for best acting and the actor who plays sjord too because they have me crying with them
Wow, that was painful. The acting was perfect. Anton was finally relevant and I could feel his pain. I love Janine and how she was there for Lucas. I wish it wasn't happening, but the story is being told very well. Tragic.
I didn't want to cry at all, and I found it hard to look at Edwin lying there for the last two episodes, but at the end, when they were closing the casket? I cried and had to touch the screen to 'touch' his face for the last time. I think because I went through this recently, I could feel their grief...my aunt died at home and her body was laid out until she was taken away the next day. I felt that pain all over again and I know how it feels.
Apparently you can be an orphan and you can be a widow, but there is no common word you can use if you lose a child - it is too awful to contemplate. And my God that felt true here.

I'm sorry, I would be a mess, there is no way I could eat, sleep or function correctly with my child laying dead in my living room...I would be drunk, crying, with snoot and tears running every where, my nerves would be a mess....Lucas is taking it the hardest, I fill sorry for all of Edwin family...but, Lucas can't handle it..And Anton, I now get why he don't want to come home...don't blame him there....this is just to sad to watch.
The two songs they used for the final scenes with Edwin are heartbreaking. It seems that they were especially written for this sad episode. Too bad YT blocked them :(

Those silent parts. God. The silence. It just added to the sadness....and when Lucas arrived....my tears.....Bianca. Sjoerd. Anton. I just lost my mom 5 months ago.....this just brought it all back. Thoses feelings of deep sadness.

this was so incredibly sad. i've cried to all of the videos since edwin died, and it still seems so real, because i feel attached to fictional characters. the pain that ferry portrays, especially in this video, is so real and vulnerable, and i don't think i've ever seen an actor in a soap do this better than him. great performances and well written script, the writers have handled this in a great way, even though i don't understand why they had to kill edwin.
But Ferry "killed them all"! He looks so young, fragile and defenceless when he says that he got dressed. I love the way he looks for his mother's support in going to say goodbye to Edwin and Janine is ready for him: she doesn't esitate a second! Lucas says the right words: "If I don't say goodbye then I'll never forgive myself." no second chance... OMG! This part is so well written and so incredibly played!!!

It seems to me that Anton is having a reaction, yelling at Bianca probably was a way to let some of those awful feelings out. His "the four of us" is some kind of acceptance of the whole situation, an opening.
Cynthia, Guido and especially Caroline (the way she holds and comforts Lucas is incredible!) did an amazing job.
I don't think they could have done a better job.... I actually feel the most sorry for Anton out of all of them, he just doesn't know how to deal with it.
Mark, thanks again! Even without audio - it's so very heartbreaking. I actually had the two videos running side by side so I could hear the music..and the music just makes it that much more emotional...
Such a beautiful episode, everyone's grief is palpable. I really like Anton, Bianca & Sjoerd's scene with Edwin, the four of them together one last time. I',m glad Lucas came at the end, it's fitting that the people closest to Edwin are together to say goodbye before the funeral. I would highly recommended watching the ep on the rtl website, cos the music that's blocked just added to the emotion of the scene where the coffin was closed.
Oh god, it's really weir to have a dead body in a open coffin in the living room, i know that in France we did do that not a lot time ago, i remember my own granddad in the 80 but he was old, i could not see a young like that, too sad.
Poor Lucas he needs to heal, i hope that one day he found his happyness because Edwin wouldn't him sad and drunk, he made him better and would be disappointed.
Thanks for the upload Mark! On the one hand, I find myself waking up early to watch these episodes and then when I do, I feel so very sad afterward. Great acting on everyone's part, especially Ferry. You don't need sound to see the anguish that Lucas is going through. But it would have nice it in the final scene! YT, sometimes you suck!

First I'd like to thank Mark for another upload Truly your hard work is appreciated a lot so thanks!!! Oh this episode is just the saddest I dare say it's up there with Roman's death in AWZ, I'm glad Lucas went to say goodbye although he keeps getting the worst moments(closing the casket) but its like he needed to see that to begin the long road of healing. @skyemcleod1 That's the way it used to be everywhere-lay the body out in the house. we did that in America - I don't know exactly when we stopped doing that though.
I don't know why everyone is ready for Lucas to try and start acting normal - they haven't even buried Edwin yet - jeez people (Ludo), cut him some slack and let him grieve for more than a couple of days.

Such a sad week of episodes and I have cried in all the acting has been amazing and you can really feel their grief. It's going to be weird seeing Lucas without Edwin. It is going to take er Lucas a some time to get over this and I am sure they will bring someone new in for him as we would want him to be happy and not alone. Thanks for uploading it's been wonderful and sad but well worth viewing. I will keep watching to see what happens next.

I noticed that most of the time, when a popular/young couple deviate to a different relationship or an infidelity occurs, it results in some type of tragedy. Usually they breaking up angry with each other and then past their stubbornness, get back together. Then an event occurs that forces someone significant to perish/leave within the couple or close to. But, if they only if they commit something immoral, the relationship seem to just rattle, but stay intact. Ughh!

Losing a child in a family is the MOST horrible thing to a family that can happen! Always will there be an empty spot at the table! Never ever will that spot be filled again! So I wonder how the Bouwhuis family will survive this! I think that they won't that this may be the end of the family as we know it! Each will go their own way: Bianca, Anton and Sjoerd.

@MirkodiWallenberg - my niece died at her 8 year birthday party. she had a congenital problem that no one knew about and she passed away AT HER PARTY. that was VERY difficult; I still cannot imagine how her parents made it through that.

I don't know why but Sjored crying gets me every time. I was able to hold the tears back until he starts crying. Then Lucas makes me cry even more. I will miss Edwin, but I am interested in seeing how this event changes these characters.

I watched Edwin and Lucas episodes again since the met the first time over the weekend. It really break my heart that they had been through a lot to finally find their true love and cut off short by the violent date of Edwin. I cried for Lucas and Edwin because our life as being different is not easy. But I am also happy for them that in the short time they were able to find their true love. They were match to each other. Goodby Edwin. Be strong Lucas, I can feel your pain.

@gm160 - I too watch from the US, but I have been watching for a LONG, LONG time. You should go back and watch all the previous episodes of Lucas/Edwin so you can get a feel for what they have gone through

Wow, that was painful. The acting was perfect. Anton was finally relevant and I could feel his pain. I love Janine and how she was there for Lucas. I wish it wasn't happening, but the story is being told very well. Tragic.

I didn't want to cry at all, and I found it hard to look at Edwin lying there for the last two episodes, but at the end, when they were closing the casket? I cried and had to touch the screen to 'touch' his face for the last time. I think because I went through this recently, I could feel their grief...my aunt died at home and her body was laid out until she was taken away the next day. I felt that pain all over again and I know how it feels.

I'm sorry, I would be a mess, there is no way I could eat, sleep or function correctly with my child laying dead in my living room...I would be drunk, crying, with snoot and tears running every where, my nerves would be a mess....Lucas is taking it the hardest, I fill sorry for all of Edwin family...but, Lucas can't handle it..And Anton, I now get why he don't want to come home...don't blame him there....this is just to sad to watch.

The two songs they used for the final scenes with Edwin are heartbreaking. It seems that they were especially written for this sad episode. Too bad YT blocked them :(

Those silent parts. God. The silence. It just added to the sadness....and when Lucas arrived....my tears.....Bianca. Sjoerd. Anton. I just lost my mom 5 months ago.....this just brought it all back. Thoses feelings of deep sadness.

this was so incredibly sad. i've cried to all of the videos since edwin died, and it still seems so real, because i feel attached to fictional characters. the pain that ferry portrays, especially in this video, is so real and vulnerable, and i don't think i've ever seen an actor in a soap do this better than him. great performances and well written script, the writers have handled this in a great way, even though i don't understand why they had to kill edwin.

But Ferry "killed them all"! He looks so young, fragile and defenceless when he says that he got dressed. I love the way he looks for his mother's support in going to say goodbye to Edwin and Janine is ready for him: she doesn't esitate a second! Lucas says the right words: "If I don't say goodbye then I'll never forgive myself." no second chance... OMG! This part is so well written and so incredibly played!!!

thank you so much Mark! I had already seen the episode, but completely missed out the words and I have to say: understanding the words makes it even more painfully unbearable!
It seems to me that Anton is having a reaction, yelling at Bianca probably was a way to let some of those awful feelings out. His "the four of us" is some kind of acceptance of the whole situation, an opening.
Cynthia, Guido and especially Caroline (the way she holds and comforts Lucas is incredible!) did an amazing job.

Such a beautiful episode, everyone's grief is palpable. I really like Anton, Bianca & Sjoerd's scene with Edwin, the four of them together one last time. I',m glad Lucas came at the end, it's fitting that the people closest to Edwin are together to say goodbye before the funeral. I would highly recommended watching the ep on the rtl website, cos the music that's blocked just added to the emotion of the scene where the coffin was closed.

Oh god, it's really weir to have a dead body in a open coffin in the living room, i know that in France we did do that not a lot time ago, i remember my own granddad in the 80 but he was old, i could not see a young like that, too sad.
Poor Lucas he needs to heal, i hope that one day he found his happyness because Edwin wouldn't him sad and drunk, he made him better and would be disappointed.

Thanks for the upload Mark! On the one hand, I find myself waking up early to watch these episodes and then when I do, I feel so very sad afterward. Great acting on everyone's part, especially Ferry. You don't need sound to see the anguish that Lucas is going through. But it would have nice it in the final scene! YT, sometimes you suck!
