This used to be a GBA Japanese game called Dot Stream similar to the other Art Style Wii releases. I notice places like IGN consider this the least interesting Art Style game release but to me it is leagues more interesting than the others. It indicates to me they didn't spend much time reviewing it beyond the first few sectors. This game is unique and complex and balanced and when you spend the time it garners that feeling akin to a good platformer or shump you earn your rites in familiarity

In fact the faster you are going the bigger the boost to your speed which can go up infinitely as long as you do not run into other light beams. Some levels are easier beat if you get ahead early to take better paths and some levels its better to remain behind and draft power for boosts. There are more complex strategies for levels involving invincibility items subtle strategies. You begin to learn the levels and become very skilled and quick in applying strategies you know. It might seem confusing at first but you are the white line. The game gets rather difficult and complex as you progress but is very enjoyable and rewarding. Mostly what you see here is the racing mode but there is a freeway mode as well. In race mode you have lives which you can sacrifice as boosts but if you run into walls or obstacles you perish and retire if you have no lives left. You draft other lines by moving directly adjacent to them but you cannot remain on the same space they drove
