I guess it would look better if we just let all the grass grow up and die off. Then that way it could burn really hot all the way down to the ground. Moose, elk and other wildlife love etxtreme burn areas where there is no grass! There's a reason why private lands hold some of the best hunting available in america, it's cause cattle grass the grasses wildlife wont and therefore the compliment eachother just like the buffalo used to do for them.
