I used to play a lot more, but I got frustrated because I have a lot of trouble holding the line through many turns, even the seemingly easy ones. I picked up the game again recently, and I've kinda figured it out, but I can only get it right every now and again. Any tips for holding the line throughout the race and still keeping a competitive speed would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

I stoped playing this game because the geniuses at Turn 10 deleted everything out of my store front for a simple stick figure vinyl I made ,you can atleast send me a msg or just put a block so i cant sell that vinyl. So Unprofessional,A whole years worth of bulding up my store front all for nothing.Totally lost interest in this game.This is the first and last time i will ever buy a forza game or any game that has anything to do with Turn 10.

in A class never run a race tranmission unless you car need it like a ford where if it had no ajustable tranmission it would not hit top speed. and for sifting you should run clutch your shift time will be .100 almost every time you up shift. if any body want me to tune a car for them hit me up my xbox live is GATORAGE iam a ok driver but realy good at tuning iam a lvl 27 at this time. tell me what setup you want what your lvl ( ) what track. i do my best work at A class.

I was trying to fine tune the '03 eclipse and I got I cornering down with random camber, damping, spring settings, but the speed and acceleration just lacks so much I am 1st at the starting grid than BAM i'm last already and I'm thinking to myself (back to the drawing bored..again)

I am using a NSX GT-R as an A class and I seem to do better without the race transmission and using the second tier transmission because I get better launch off the starting line. Should I use the race transmission and tune it to get the better launch or stick with the sport transmission.

@lazadar I generally use the race transmission to be able to adjust everything. It's especially handy when racing with no assists to be able to calm 1st down. I do use the Sport trans sometimes to get that perfect PI, particularly if I'm throwing together a quick build where I won't be tuning individual gears.

How good will I know this will be? Prove how much faster you get by tuning it this way with your calculator. Buy a car, make it A600, run 3 laps with stock setup to show time. Then tune the car with your calculator and run again to show how much faster you go. I wont buy something that will make me slower than I already am.

nice i liked it. im not a profesional by any means but i really like racing simulators, ive been playing forza 2 for a couple years now and when i bought forza 3 everything looked very different and i was nowhere near as fast as i am in forza 2 ( i couldnt even find leaderboards everyghing is so differernt lol ) but this is gonna help me out alot. thanks

Use downshifting to help with braking, which is called engine braking. This is one of the primary reasons manual is faster than automatic transmission.

OK. I tried this tune on the same circuit and got in the top 4% for lap time. I then went to xbox live feeling confident. I got taken at the start like you did however this car cannot compete with S4's and Celica's when anyone can use traction control, ABS, Stability control and the xbox controler. Good car, but its just unusable when you compare the competition and the fact that there are no advantages for not using assits

@MylesHSG Yeah, I try to avoid lobbies where everyone uses the leaderboard cars. Also, no assists primarily come into play on the expert lobbies.

@MylesHSG To get the most out of this car you need to use Manual WITH clutch, if you dont use ABS you WILL be faster, TCS also slows you down. AWD may get the initial launch but this car will beat them To be honest, it wasnt tuned for this track as its a No aero car, but its a good alrounder,  i got it to #52 on Sedona Club Reverse a year ago :)

But sometimes you don't find the best tuned car on the storefront.

At least I had this experience.

I would like to see factory spec racing in open lobbys, so if people don't want to tune their vehicle, they can still compete against other drivers.

This option is available in need for speed shift.

There should be also the "expert option", with most of the driving aids turned off for all classes

Factory spec lobbys are missing in FM3 in my opinion.

Yes, sometimes the storefront tunes aren't the best. However, sometimes you can find some real gems there.

I agree on the assists! It's my biggest complaint with F3 with the "hopper system" - there are no real sim races anymore.

Factory spec races are also fun. I am a bit disappointed with no custom public lobbies. It hurts an otherwise excellent game.
