@hansberthel Right U are... Guess I'm gonna watch it again and cryyyyyyy tonight... for he... 27th (..?) time...! WHAT a movie !! WHAT a man! Happy B-day Mr HonkyTonk Man...
Good film, however, there were some scenes that just ruined the film. If you took out the brothel scene and maybe one or two others, I would classify this film as an all time favourite!
This is an outstanding video...Thank you so much for posting it...The song itself, of course and the movie are absolutely wonderful...Clinr Eastwood once again proved he can do it all...and better than anyone else...
Good movie but sorry Eastwood was absolutely and completely and utterly miscast. Johnny Cash should have been cast and that's where and when it shoud have ended. This is a movie about Johnny Cash , it IS Johnny Cash. It would have really put a huge light on him. Whoever cast this movie should be smacked upside the head
@JamesTKirkCobain I don't know about Clint being miscast, but I definitely would've left the singing to Marty. I'm pretty sure this movie isn't based on anyone's life exclusively but I do know it definitely wasn't based on Johnny Cash. If you pay attention to the movie and know your Country Music history it really seems to be influenced by and parallel a combination of Jimmie Rodgers and Hank William's life not at all Johnny's life / story. Afterall Hank was the original Honky Tonk Man = )
I get what you mean but this movie was less about country music and more about Clint having a bit off fun. Plus every country singer stands in the shadow of J.R Cash. The only country singer never to sell out and grow his hair long.
One of the best Clint Eastwood films thats not violent of cowbay related. Not that I dislike his films, but a refreshing change and a good story. Brilliant.
Grande Clint! Artista versatile, regista geniale, attore intenso, musicista e interprete emozionante.
