  • So, I try in english, with less "camaieu" in words, sorry...

D.Daniels and P.Jaroussky are sure more virtuosos in their versions. But, D.Daniels shows us the violence of feelings of a man torn between desire and passion. Andreas Scholl shows us the distress of a wounded man splitted between the desire for a woman and his deep tenderness for another. This delicacy in feelings leads to an admirable interpretation, above all for me.

  • I find the accompagnato rather rude and noisy... Scholl has no voice for this piece, and the legato line is missing complitely.

  • but andreas has the best coloratura...

unfortunately i dont speak french ;-(

  • I think, Rene Jacobs with La Petite Bande performance is the best one!

  • Wow, an aria which allows me to objectively state - David Daniels performs this one better.
