So if a muslim commits a criminal act against a non muslim, is the muslim then going to refuse to go to a normal canadian court hearing if the non muslim refuses the sharia court system? This is one of the many reasons why I think that sharia law is a bad idea. If you want to be a part of Canada then you should accept the laws that are already in place, not try to change them when you immigrate here. It should be in the immigration policy to refuse entry to sharia law imposing immigrants.

@terminsane Shariah Law should only be allowed in Muslim countries. Not in a country that has laws of its own that all citizens of that country have to obey. There should never be separate laws for religious groups like Orthodox Jews and Amish in America - and these are just examples of religious laws and not laws of the land - run by US state and federal government. You are allowed to follow your freedom of religion as you see fit as long as it does not interfer with others.

In Sharia law countries (Islamic law), non-muslims have to pay extra tax for simply beliving their own religion. If they cannot pay this tax (Jizya) then they would have to convert to Islam or be punished with the death penelty. So if a muslim commits a criminal act against a non muslim, is the muslim then going to refuse to go to a normal canadian court hearing if the non muslim refuses the sharia court system? This is one of the many reasons why I think that sharia law is a bad idea. If you want to be a part of Canada then you should accept the laws that are already in place, not try to change them when you immigrate here. It should be in the immigration policy to refuse entry to sharia law imposing immigrants.

@terminsane Shariah Law should only be allowed in Muslim countries. Not in a country that has laws of its own that all citizens of that country have to obey. There should never be separate laws for religious groups like Orthodox Jews and Amish in America - and these are just examples of religious laws and not laws of the land - run by US state and federal government. You are allowed to follow your freedom of religion as you see fit as long as it does not interfer with others.

In Sharia law countries (Islamic law), non-muslims have to pay extra tax for simply beliving their own religion. If they cannot pay this tax (Jizya) then they would have to convert to Islam or be punished with the death penelty. sharia law is not just about marriage, divorce, stripping womens rights, or fasting ramadan, it is about forcing the world to convert to islam. The minute the authority accepts sharia law of islam, the citizens have to submit to the quran fully, which commands to kill whosoever doesnt submit to allah, quran 9:29 to 30. Kill them until there is no commotions, BECAUSE the religion should be ONLY for allah, quran 2:193. It means no other religions beside islam in the world.

JonK: Martial law should be declared to stop sharia conflicts. The police cant stop them because they are using our democracy to destroy us with it. Democracy & freedom of religions should be limited to stop islamic violence. If the authorities cant declare martial law to stop this revolt; citizens will defend themselves and their families because they have no other alternatives. Why only muslims that revolt; we dont see Buddhists, Hindus, or atheists demanding their laws in the legal system
