  • This is what schools need to get back to doing like it was in the 70's.

Actual shop classes & hands on science.

Kids these days can't point North w/o a GPS.

  • @jointheclubsmellypan I think it's great. I am an artist and picture framer and find things like this challenge the mind. Thank You Sir David

  • I want to thank you for sharing your videos. I just bought two plans and can't wait to get started. I build custom made wooden surfboards. Making a clock will be interesting. My goal will be eventually to design my own clock or maybe just a moving artwork.

  • @mmschweizer I hope this gets to you, Cool wooden surfboards.

There is nothing like having a clock work for you, it's amazing you just keep checking it to see if it still going, there is nothing like that feeling.

though you do need a tonne of patience though.

  • beautiful work and the video has helped me progress with my clock ! im no woodworking expert at all but your tips have helped me get some reasonably good wheels made for one of claytons clocks, thankyou !!

  • Glad I could help!

  • I'm sorry I'm not sure what you mean,

If you want to buy the plans for this clock you can find them at Clayton Boyers website

I think I have included a link in the top left hand corner of the page

  • You could send the plant to watch this: paulobiaco@terra.com.br

    thanks

  • The only thing I can think of is that I made sure that the holes were lined up in the center using a ruler or straight edge, as the plan for the frame is on two pages it's a little thing but if you want a straight frame. I think I forgot to mention that on the video.

  • excellent video, viewed all 5 videos nicley done, just finished daves wooden gear clock, my first, I think I' ready for the #6, any additional videos or any words os wisdom?

    Thanks.

    keep up the good work.

  • Fantastic videos. Clear, expressive, and very very informative. Thank you for the hard work, and congratulations on a beauty of a clock.

  • on aperçoit clairement comment le pallet doit culbuter le pignon d'echappement pour obtenir un mouvement régulier et perpétuel avec le fameux tic tac! :)

  • Good job. Great technique. You should try model ship building (wooden), I'm sure you'd be as good as some of those other more famous people.

  • Thankyou for your comments, Maybe one day I will give it a go.

  • this is cool...

  • Sir, You are something else.. Great videos and excellent tips.. COuld you tell me what type of wood I need to use. Thank you

  • For the Gears and the pinions I used Baltic birch plywood, as it is pretty stable and the frame I used the hardwood black walnut.

  • Great videos! Thanks for taking the time to create such clear and enjoyable instructional videos. Very nicely done!

  • The Number 6 is very accurate, I'm not sure if it loses or gains a few seconds a day it's usually spot on when I come down in the morning to see it ticking on the wall.

  • Very cool set of videos! How accurite are these clocks? Wood, I am thinking humidity has something to do with it. Anyway, very nice looking clock I must say Thanks for listing the set. Joseph T. (fly2000jtb)
