Few days ago I received a plans for Simplicity from Mr. Clayton Boyer .Your videos are REALLY GREAT (useful,simple,attractive...and practical!).I admit I had to stop few times during watch because of your funny comments. :-)
I want to thank you for sharing your videos. I just bought two plans and can't wait to get started. I build custom made wooden surfboards. Making a clock will be interesting. My goal will be eventually to design my own clock or maybe just a moving artwork.
@mmschweizer I hope this gets to you, Cool wooden surfboards.
There is nothing like having a clock work for you, it's amazing you just keep checking it to see if it still going, there is nothing like that feeling.
beautiful work and the video has helped me progress with my clock ! im no woodworking expert at all but your tips have helped me get some reasonably good wheels made for one of claytons clocks, thankyou !!
The only thing I can think of is that I made sure that the holes were lined up in the center using a ruler or straight edge, as the plan for the frame is on two pages it's a little thing but if you want a straight frame. I think I forgot to mention that on the video.
excellent video, viewed all 5 videos nicley done, just finished daves wooden gear clock, my first, I think I' ready for the #6, any additional videos or any words os wisdom?
on aperçoit clairement comment le pallet doit culbuter le pignon d'echappement pour obtenir un mouvement régulier et perpétuel avec le fameux tic tac! :)
The Number 6 is very accurate, I'm not sure if it loses or gains a few seconds a day it's usually spot on when I come down in the morning to see it ticking on the wall.
Very cool set of videos! How accurite are these clocks? Wood, I am thinking humidity has something to do with it. Anyway, very nice looking clock I must say Thanks for listing the set. Joseph T. (fly2000jtb)

This is what schools need to get back to doing like it was in the 70's.
Actual shop classes & hands on science.
Kids these days can't point North w/o a GPS.

Good job. Great technique. You should try model ship building (wooden), I'm sure you'd be as good as some of those other more famous people.

Sir, You are something else.. Great videos and excellent tips.. COuld you tell me what type of wood I need to use. Thank you

For the Gears and the pinions I used Baltic birch plywood, as it is pretty stable and the frame I used the hardwood black walnut.
