The kind of bellydance i like (and dance myself) REAL bellydance. There's a lot of experimenting out there. Mixing styles and experimental dance is not bad at all, just PLEASE do not say the public it IS bellydance, ARGH, they are confusing people even more. Anyway, I LOOOOVE your dancing, you are very consistent, when it is saidi you also dance saidi, etc, etc. You also apply a certain golden rule and that is LESS IS MORE :-) no unnessesary isolations or accents where there aren't, just feeling
This is my favorite video! You are a beautiful dancer. Your energy is contagious. That costume is simply fabulous. You are one of my favorite dancers and you have been very inspirational to my dance studies. I look forward to attending another workshop with you!! :D Julia
Amro bin al3as ( A poet ) when asked about Egypt he said, " It's Land is Golden and It's women are Dolls and It is men are with the winners." It just rhymes better in Arabic
First impulse is to push the hip out to the side that is using the same leg that you step on as you step on it. Instead, step on the leg and lift up the opposite hip lifting the opposite leg and foot. This is what I call the Upper 2 Accents. I hope this helps.
Hi! I think you mean the downward movements she does with the hips: push your right hip to the side, feel the weight of your body on the right foot, bend your right knee, drop the right hip down. Then do the same with the left side of your body. Then try it all on the balls of your feet, do it sharp and small. I hope it helps!
Hope this also works. I don't really understand it, but I have my own way of teaching this certain movement. But if it works for another, that's great. :-)
Sausan is the soul and essence of true Egyptian dance..... She is always incredible to watch....Her movements are as smooth as silk, natural, and flowing....The way you embody and translate the music is unreal!
Thank you. I am extremely relaxed. As for feeling the music, that goes without saying. You may not know that the style I dance and teach is the "Classic" style vs. the "Modern" style of today. I have studied many dancers -- yours you mention and others. You can find DVDs of them on my website. I hope I have enlightened you with regards to my studies of the various and sundry Egyptian style belly dancers. I am as relaxed dancing to the music as Suhair and Zizi are as relaxed in dancing to theirs.
I learn from you everytime I see you! whether it's in class or the very rare occation that I get to see you perform! I am extremely excited to see you posted a performance on youtube!!! will we see more??? hint hint!!
Wow! Sausan has found the fountain of youth! What is so amazing about this performance is Sausan looks likes she's in her 20's - not that she is that old :)
When a women dances as beautifully as Sausan, they tend to look much younger than their years. Sausan I would llike to see more of your dancing.
Sausan, so lovely to see you dance...! You look beautiful! Your face, hair and all!!! Thank you for this dance Sausan, a joy! I am happy this is here, so when I need help in the choreography - I can have you to look at.... (smiles)... Love you much!!!!!!!!! Nsjma
What a wonderful dancer! Sausan has so much grace in her moves, her posture exquisite and a joy to watch. Besides she is an outstanding teacher and choreographer. Thank you very much for posting!

Nice but relax some and just feel that music. Have you heard of Suher Zaki, Zizi Mustafa? Watch them to see. Good luck!
