The kind of bellydance i like (and dance myself) REAL bellydance. There's a lot of experimenting out there. Mixing styles and experimental dance is not bad at all, just PLEASE do not say the public it IS bellydance, ARGH, they are confusing people even more. Anyway, I LOOOOVE your dancing, you are very consistent, when it is saidi you also dance saidi, etc, etc. You also apply a certain golden rule and that is LESS IS MORE :-) no unnessesary isolations or accents where there aren't, just feeling

First impulse is to push the hip out to the side that is using the same leg that you step on as you step on it. Instead, step on the leg and lift up the opposite hip lifting the opposite leg and foot. This is what I call the Upper 2 Accents. I hope this helps.

Hi! I think you mean the downward movements she does with the hips: push your right hip to the side, feel the weight of your body on the right foot, bend your right knee, drop the right hip down. Then do the same with the left side of your body. Then try it all on the balls of your feet, do it sharp and small. I hope it helps!

Thank you. I am extremely relaxed. As for feeling the music, that goes without saying. You may not know that the style I dance and teach is the "Classic" style vs. the "Modern" style of today. I have studied many dancers -- yours you mention and others. You can find DVDs of them on my website. I hope I have enlightened you with regards to my studies of the various and sundry Egyptian style belly dancers. I am as relaxed dancing to the music as Suhair and Zizi are as relaxed in dancing to theirs.
