Red Eagle is easy to kill - just hide behind the pillars along the left wall and the AI isn't smart enough to get to you. Use arrows to pick him off or just hit him and then run back to the pillars until he's dead.
I was level 4, shot him with Elven Bow 2 times with the Ancient Nord Arrow. I had no enchants on it..... He's not the biggest boss. Your just the worst Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim player. BTW, he used to be a boss like me till he took an arrow in the knee. :)
anyone else get one hit by arch-necromancers who dual wield frost storm? Im lvl 73 and that looked like an easy shit fight, i mean seriously, Draugr deathlords are that weak, try fighting a mage that can hit over 300 with a spell that is meant to hit like 80-160 at max perks
EVERYONE LIKE THIS TO HELP EVERYONE, a way to kill him very easily way to kill him is to do what tobyuuuuuuuu said, to get the red eagle out of the tomb, then run out of the cave, then run back in, skeletons will be gone,next, duel weild lightning of any sort, i used the beginner one shock, and just go to the coffin, use it as a barricade, and shout at him, and use ur lightning when he shouts, he will shout when he stans still, took me about 5 mins, i hope this helps, remember like this up!
There's a much easier way to kill him. I went inside until his sarcophagus opened, then ran outside the cave and went inside again. All the skeletons where dead and I killed Red Eagle with my Enchanted Supple Ancient North Bow (26 damage + 10 burn damage). I shot in sneak mode (3x damage) and sneaked away until I was 'hidden' again. I did this for about 10 times until he was dead.
Holy crap man, that looked easy. I know the enemies scale to your level like in oblivion, but whenever I see these videos, people power through dragons and bosses like it was easy. The only time I ever see them die in the videos is when some random person walks up to them while they are fighting the monsters.
Tbf, he didn't hit me at all - managed to get me with 1 shout, but that hardly took any HP off, just flung me across the room. Was a pretty straight forward boss.
the biggest boss i pretty much whoever you fight last since they scale with your level...i played the game on default difficulty but I think i made it much harder than it needed to be cuz i did a little bit of everything, which meant i ended up being like level 40 and still casting firebolt as my most powerful spell and swinging a bound sword as my most powerful sword and getting two shotted by any creature i let get too close to me...
@MorphenJar Skyrim uses the same engine as Fallout 3 and Oblivion when it comes to determining who you fight. Some bosses are not a set level. Their skills and abilities increase proportionally with your level. So for example Red Eagle at your level 1 is a level 1 character and easy to kill. If you are level 20 so is he. His abilities are much more leveled and he is much harder to kill.
Killed him at level 45, he was a dragon priest model when i did it.

@weenface
Yeah, I know. The title was actually meant to mean boss in the other sense of the word, like "Look at this guy's dank ass sword, what a boss."
