  • Thank you so much!

  • How often do you wash your hair? It's very similar to mine, and I want to know if I'm washing it too often (every other day).

  • Oh I've never heard it being called a French anything, in my country I think it's called "a banana bun" :D

  • you are absolutely gorgeous!

  • I'm doing this hair for my prom today! Thank you for the step guide! It's made it so much easier now :)

  • I actually loved the look even when it was just backcombed to the side, haha!

  • Thank you for that step by step guide, love the crown part just made mine look so much better,. its not easy to do to your self but with practise i got there thanks again x

  • Thank you. I just did it and it actually looks good! Now I have great hair and no where to go.

  • i love your hair!!!

  • you look like rachel weisz here!

  • A very pretty look for the hair, tidy, good for those days when you need to disguise your hair, but it definitely takes practice! Thanks for sharing.

  • @pixiwoo where did you get those larger pins from because I am having trouble finding some?

  • right, if you've seen breakfast at tiffanys (if you haven't, you really should, it's great), and if so then could you tell me a lipstick similar to holly's in the film, i've been searching for yonks, thankyou!

  • @francesalmighty yes, so have I! It's sort of matte finish yet creamy to apply, kind of nude yet not... urgh! cant explain it, but yes, i'd like to know where to get one too. If I ever find it I'll let you know :)

  • So if you wash ur hair less, it will be less frizzy?? Dually noted! thanks!

  • Try Asian women # lushfmlk.info #

  • British 'curly grips' = American 'bobby pins'. So cute. :) Love this look and love listening to you! Can you please please do a rockabilly/pinup girl hair tutorial? xoxo

  • @crimson710 I kno this is really pointless and pedantic but we call them Kirby grips - just had to say it sorry

  • @lottielovelife lol... i stand corrected. ;)

  • @crimson710 kirby grips, not curly grips!lol

  • Very chic. As always, actually.

  • Youre so pretty :)

  • we have the same philosophy with hair! I do the same... I wash them the less that I can! and when they're a bit dirty, I pin it up!

  • THank you for posting this. I tried it right away and thanks to you I have to say I think i did pretty good for a first time.

  • awesome!!

  • I must admit I cringe everytime you put those clips in your teeth to open them. It looks ouchie.

  • Love it!!! i always try to do it, but, i look rare with my style, definitely i'll do it like you made it ^_^

  • ur hair is in such amazing condition :)

  • "Curvy grips" I love the way you say it.

  • @EpicEpidemix She's saying 'Kirbigrips' - they are an English brand of hair grips.

  • any time and no need to thanks me to watch your video ;p

  • you are a genius

  • WONKY.....lol

  • Really nice. in the old days they used to call them boufom or bird nest the french pleat or twist that is :)

  • nice! awesome!

  • I luv it and cant wait to try it! :-)

  • Wow its looks amazing (: i love it.....

  • i love your make up in this video! its just beautiful

  • i love your accent! and especially how you say 'center parting' and 'side parting' - sounds very sexy!! so i hope you are doing more hair tutorials, especially some with partings ;) -xxx-

  • Amazing! You do it so well. As you said, I'm sure I'd have to practice.

  • omg you saved my life! this is awesome and I just did it!!!! thanks soo much!

  • not sure if anyone posted this, but do you have suggestions for people with curly hair trying to do this style? if I want my curly hair (it's VERY curly) slick and smooth I usually have to do it when it's wet.... any suggestions?

  • What do you use on you hair??? It look amazing. Can you do another haire tutorial or a video of the products you use?

  • you have a veeery beautiful hair, xoxo from Spain

  • i love it....its so patsy stone x

  • sam every makeup look and hair style suits u !!! ur lucky and talented

  • you are very gifted and born with great qualities.

  • You are great! Thanks!

  • your hair looks so healthy and shiny

i have really dry horrible hair

  • man sind das tolle haare

  • in the start of the vid, you kinda resemble rachel weisz.

  • wow, she totally does.

  • Its amazing but i have VERY oily skin and hair...Im brown skinned and i have to wash my hair everyday or else i feel completely flithy and dirty....Also i dont think its sanitary when you sleep..All the dirt from the day before gets on your pillows...Lmao!!! Im just weird i guess but I love your hair ^_^

  • That looks great...I did it along while watching the video-its way easier than it looks. Thanks! ;-) X

  • I love this look and keep comin back to watch it, I have a question tho, my hair is really straight and doesnt hold in back combing no matter how much I mess it up, any suggestions or tips of how to hold it in?

  • I love this look! You have such beautiful hair!!!

  • You're soo gorgeous! :)

  • That's really good!

Confusing you shud have shown us backwards like all the way thruu.

    Btw. It was guud.

  • you have gorgeus hair! Mine is super straight and I only get to brush it and leave at that.. it does whatever it wants :P

    but anyways, great video!

  • teehee "wonky"

  • Love it!!!!!

  • so elegant! what hair products do you use?

  • oh my gosh these uk girls are sooo pretty!!!

  • your hair is magnificent! do you think you could do a run down on how you take care of it/tips for growing it out? it's gorgeous!

  • your hair is sooo beautiful love your tutorials!!

  • Not only enjoyed the video, but listening to the terms you use that are different from the ones we use was interesting as well. Beautiful! And you did a beautiful demonstration as well! Heading to lunch shortly-think I'll try this do!

  • love ur makeup on this one...natural and rosy...so pretty!!!!

  • Thank you!!! The look is great. I have long hair myself with a fringe. I do a french twist as a easy way to get my hair out of my face but the crown part was a great tip to do to my twist differently. God send!!! Cheers! Also you look amazing :-)

  • Nice, it's hard to find a good explanation of what people are doing with these. I've seen it laid out step by step but this was super clear.

  • YOU ARE MY HERO! Amazing! I'll have to play with it. :D thanks!

  • could you do a look you had in this vid please? you look absolutely amazing!the look is so wearable.Thank you!

  • i could probably never pull that off on my own but it looks fantastic

please do more hair tutorials!! love love love your work

  • YOu always looks easy going person, Love to see u , is a pleasure for me ...

    kisses..

  • this was a great tutorial, thanks so much for posting! i'm always looking for new ways to do my hair and this seems simple and pretty. :)

  • beautiful, gorgeous to me anyway. That's as perfected as I'd want it. So many magazines say, to make a French twist, gather a pony tail, twist it, pin it, which looks stupid. Now I know, thank you.

  • I am going to try this. I am awful at doing my own hair though. I have a weird combo of hair. It is very straight and the hairs are fine, but it knots like curly hair and is very thick.

  • Could you possibly make a video on how you get your hair to look so silky and wavy? I know you said you blow dry it, but I haven't the faintest idea how... I have really nice curls so I just wear my hair down, but I would love to get that voluminous wavy look you had going on there in the beginning.

    Otherwise, wonderful video! :)

  • I don't think this will work for me. I have thinning hair. I feel like an old person.

  • i have thinning hair too and im only 18 it sucks ass

  • Hahaha I tried this oday and it worked amazing ;) only... You won't need hairspray unless you've got my hair... XD And if I can do it.... anybody can ;)

    Awesome as always ;)

  • wooooow you look suttinn!!!

  • LOVE YOUR HAIIR !!! So beautiful and well cut :O I want the same

  • You have great hair! :) Nice video!

  • Hi!

I'm a french guy. Thus, normally,i'don't watch videos which explain how to make girls hairstyles.Although...no!Im a dude!

But when i saw you,i fall under the charm. One second to fall under your charm!Fascinating!...and a little hurtful that it's also fast!

Whatever,i'm going to live in England hoping i learn how to make me girls haircuts...no no,hoping run into you! (am i a girl?!)

You are beautiful, and i had to say it to you.

    Au revoir.

  • "69"prozac

    ça veut tout dire ;D

  • SpinNear

  • hi, since ur french cud u tell me wot TRUCS A FAIRE means, frm the movie UP. hope u dnt mind me txting u, there r some other wrds in that movie, if i get a response u cud hlp me on those2. thnx

  • @viciouseyez

TRUCS A FAIRE means THINGS, OR STUFF, TO DO.

Those THINGS can be anything!! pee, kill someone, do someone, cook something or someone...anything!

By the way, what's "UP"? i don't know that movie...it's a french movie?!

And relax, you can text me!

  • @69prozac Whaaaattt??? haha

  • @sushiqt07 hahahaha i had the same reaction hahahahaha :D

  • @69prozac perhaps slightly worrying in relation to the name "69" and "prozac" lol ('',)

  • cranberry

  • your hair is longer every time you make a video.

  • all this talk about not washing your hair everyday makes me jealous. like i've mentioned; my hair is SUPER naturally curly and i have to wash it and put product in it everyday to control the frizz. is there a way to not wash mine daily? eventhough it's soaked in product?? my scalp itches if i go without a wash.

  • hmmm I'm not sure. My friend uses a spray bottle. She has really tight sausage curls and she took a spray bottle to school everyday and would keep her hair damp. Not sure if that applies to you or not.

  • I would recommend you something called rasul claysoap. It works in unbelievable ways, specially with frizzy hair. You would love it and your hair would definatly too. You don't need to wash it alot with rasul. Hope this helps! x

  • i'd hate to snuggle in bed w that head..lol

  • i love you

  • Oh man, GORGEOUS. I will HAVE to practice this because it seems doable, and I rarely do ANYTHING with my hair.

Also, I know what you mean with the whole washing thing. My hair has always been so oily, but when I started washing it every other day or sometimes every two days, I found that it started to still look just fine after not washing it. Still can't wear it down unwashed, though. Feels funny. =P

  • i love you hair!!!! it looks so shiny and healthy. what hair products do you use?

  • How come you guys dont reply to msgs? is it just that you have too many to go thru?

  • love your voice. i'm american and i love british accents! i tried doing this hair btw, and thanks to your tutorial is came out great! even my boyfriend said he really liked it! :)

  • beatiful hair. I like!! is very shine

  • That was brilliant thank you I always struggle doing them in my own hair thanks so much will try that soon :)

  • you have gorgeous hair!

  • Cool.

  • Seems easy enough! I can't wait to try it. I love all your videos, Sam and Nic!

  • Wow, that looks difficult lol! Not adverse to giving it a go though :)

  • you look different than usual.. i think u lose weight :) :) or u change ur hair color.. gorgeous!

  • Comment removed

  • it wznt untidy o messy...pretty neat n smooth acutually :)

  • Very sophisticated. Thanks so much!

  • favorited!!!

  • beautiful hair

  • I completely agree with you. There are so many people I know obsessed with their image and weight, and even if they tell me otherwise 100 times, you can still tell that they don't mean a word of it. I do find it disappointing the image of perfection pushed into the mainstream and think it should be stopped. People do not realize how damaging something as simple as an overly photo shopped model can be.

  • i love your hair before AND after :)

  • I know it's sooooo pretty long and dark! Lucky looks good in any color too.

  • your prettyyy :)

  • i love your hair

  • Your hair looks so healthy and shiny in this video. I'm Jealous!

  • you look great!=)) beauty!

  • Sam you look hot in this vid! Your hair looks so shiny x

  • You look like an Emily in this video.

That's not secrect code for anything, it just means you look like your name would be Emily. Great Video!

  • Haha, your backcombed hair looks like mine does on a day to day basis without backcombing. Lol mine is long and voluminous and hideous to manage :)

  • your make up looks lovely here =)

  • you are downright one of the most sexiest women I have ever laid eyes on

  • Thank you Sam! I am not experienced at hair styling, and I find this helpful, it gave me a good idea about how to do it! I've had long hair for almost all my life, but I was so lazy and hardly ever bothered to do anything fancy with it. Either wore it down, or in a ponytail or braided. I'm bored with it already so I wanna try something cool like this ;)

This hairstyle reminds me of Brigitte Bardot.

  • Abso lovely! :D

  • Is a curby grip like a bobby pin?

  • @Calitia - its the exact same thing, people just call them different names x

  • Yeah, it's the english way of saying "bobby pin"

  • you are absolutely gorgeous!! love your work!! classy and elegant as usual!!

    adorable. thanks a lot!

  • AWASOME! FINALLY A GOOD VIDEO !

  • SIMPLY AWESOME PLUS UR SUPER SEXY!!!!

  • i used to have frizzy hair every time i washed my hair. what i do is night showers. and i have satin pillows. and my hair is so silky in the morning.

  • your curls look amazing here! did you use a curling iron or hot rollers? love your vids.

  • Super tutorial! I finally learned how people get their hair smooth in an updo - I could never figure out how and now I know! Definitely keeping this on the backburner for when my hair grows out again. Thanks!

  • You have gorgeous hair..the kind of hair that I dream about haha.

  • come to america, be my wife.....

  • wow, this simple classic hair suits you... very natural and girl next door -like ( referring to before you did the pleat) the big wavy hair suits you as well

  • You make it seem so easy and simple! I'd love to give it a go, however, I had a rather unfortunate encounter with a hairdresser who chopped 30 centimeters off my hair when I had only asked for 10, so my hair is only shoulder length now :(

  • Gosh you are sooooo elegant. You have a real classic look like Catherine Hepburn. I love this so much, thank you loads and loads for sharing . You have THE best videos on youtube!

  • Great tutorial. Thank you so much!

  • Great tutorial!

  • curvy grips. :) In the states we call them bobby pins. At first I wasn't sure what you were talking about. this is so cute on you! I can't wait to grow my hair out and braid it again.

  • I've always wanted to be able to French pleat my own hair and now I know. My engagement party is on Friday so I think that's what I'm gonna be doing - and I've got plenty of time to practise - thanks :) xx

  • need to have my hair grow back again!!!

  • its neat enough u did great can u be my stylest damn

  • oh thank you. I never actually knew how to do these and always wondered...well there we go...done and done.

  • your pretty no homo

  • hedwig and the angry inch look? there arnt any good one on utube.

  • love this, its so helpful. i call it a french roll. your hair is really long and lush!!
