How did the Aussie couples fare against the larger number of International couples?? I didn't get a chance to go this year.

Yes, it was a tough comp with quite a few internationals. I think 3 Aussie couples were in the semi (including Arkady & Rosa who dance for NZ) and only 1 in the final - Mirko & Nuria.
