The root of the evil of urban sprawl is the private collection of community created land value which is the entire motivation for the cancerous land devouring growth depicted in this documentary. All land value is created by the community not by individual owners so a society that allows owners of land to collect the value they do not create is a society that condones nay encourages a form of theft. It is theft of a value all others create that if taken by community would prevent sprawl.
I think its great documentary..trying to preserve what is natural not man made. You cannot take away the beauty of what is natural and then put up track homes and then bring it back to its natural habitat. Its like Hawaii what it used to be..years ago. Hawaii has to preserve land or it wouldn't be Hawaii. Where can we see the full movie?
I worked for Gary Bradley (during the 80's)...on the edge of Rob Roy and full blown Circle C etc. He is a dynamic, thoughtful, deep and conscientious individual.
I think it is easy for any of us to judge at face value.....we all do it.
Take that in mind when watching this...he "had a dream."
The song is "Someone Else's Tomorrow" by Patty Griffin, one of the country's most underrated artists. She also lives in Austin. The song can be found on her "Children Running Through" album.
