  • Thank you. Saved to my "Interview" string.

  • Ok, so this is the before video, where is the after?

  • If you workout chest on monday 3pm wed. 3pm would be 48 hrs so wouldnt you be resting way more then you had to by waiting a whole week for another workout. once a week only 52 times a year is not much

  • @pookiemonster1006 Less is more.........do i look like I'm not in shape? You don't have to spend you life in the gym to get good results.....I have way more in my life than just going to the gym

  • @pookiemonster1006 Exactly! This is for a major beginner, i've done this workout and it work for the first three months the whole 3 sets 10 reps,(it took me 3 years to realize that menshealth, guys like this are just after you money and not telling you the actual science) after that you need to be working more than just the muscles (that will only hypertrophy what you already have) you need to mix the hyperplasia training (heavy heavy weights) with the hypertrophy training 3 or 4 sets of 12 rep

  • He forgot to mention that the hat is required for safety purposes.

  • Very great advice!

  • Comment removed

  • @smrtsTV I said CATABOLIC is when your muscles are eaten up. ANABOLIC is when they are in a state ready for growth

  • Oh man! I was watching Avatar the other day and Rico you remind me SO much of a bigger Stephen Lang!!!

  • Using machine every 2nd nite, for tricpes, biceps and legs. Is this ok or too much, for example if iam pushing pushups till iam sore, everyday, with a 24 hour rest in between, is that ok or am i loosing muscle there, i feel a lot stronger and visually i can see a change, but not so much in muscle growth, but more toned. also what is the best way to build pex, is there anything apart from bench press? and if iam worried about stuffing up my left elbow on press whats best way to start? THANKS HEAP

  • Hi Rico, really appreciate the effort of your video, May i ask for your advice please, I am starting out at age of 22, 180cm tall and 78kg weight, have some biceps and triceps worked, I have cut out junk food, only drink water and eat tuna/chiken some red meat, eggs, natural wheat bread and rice with vegies and create smaller meals but more often a day. For the last 3 months i have been solid on push up every night, sit up every night, (have a small gut) dumbells evry 2nd or so nite,

  • @slovakiboi Can you join a gym so you can weight lift? If so you should make great gains because your diet looks good

  • Good video.

  • @Totalhealth4life I have a question, last year I was working out for a body building transformation contest. At the end of the 12 week contest, I noticed that my left pec was bigger than my right pec. *(I'm right handed by the way, so it was kind of odd)* What do you recommend to even them out, or am I stuck this way?

  • @markymarkuss777 do extra sets each time you work out your chest JUST WORKING YOUR WEAK SIDE WITH A DUMB BELL

  • what days do you train these four days on? does it matter?? and when do you have your rest days rico

  • @ishoa1 doesnt matter..........4 days out of the week as i do cardio after the weights This way its impossible to NOT get in your workouts..........its flexible

  • Only work out your whole body once a week but wait 48 hours before you work out the same muscle again. Well if you follow rule one you dont need rule two. Rule one is wrong. You should give your body 48 hours rest which means you can work out your whole body three times a week. No science shows that working out once a week will give the same or better results. My own experience is that working out my whole body two-three times a week is optimal for max muscle growth.

  • Protein in every meal is really bad for you . Human kidneys are not built to clear massive amounts of protein . There is a reason most of the big guys in the gym are chronically sick in their 40s . There is also a reason vegans are taking over MMA , they heal faster , recover from workouts in less time , and their immune system isn't constantly damaged by over consumption of protein .

  • @MindofaJedi Scientists found that men and women who follow a strict vegan diet (no meat, poultry, fish, or animal by-products) tend to have elevated homocysteine levels. Too much of this amino acid in your blood greatly increases your risk for heart attack or stroke. They also found that vegans seem to run a greater risk of developing blood clots and atherosclerosis. They also tend to have lower HDL (or "good") cholesterol.

  • @totalhealth4life Actually that is a pretty gross misunderstanding of the facts . Human beings , from a purely biological standpoint are herbivores . It was anthropology that called us omnivores because humans have eaten many things . However we only thrive on plant based diets . This is a fact . The more protein you consumme the worse your health gets . A healthy diet is 80% plant based carbs , 10% protein , 10% fat . Most Americans are getting WAY too much protein .

  • @MindofaJedi All of the leading health experts disagree my friend.........sorry.....protein is essential for good health........if you want to be vegan be my guest

  • @totalhealth4life No , actually all the independant long term studies show veganism the healthiest lifestyle . Read the China Study . It shows that at just 15% of the diet being meat more than doubles your chances of most cancers . The less meat you eat the longer you live . William C Roberts , the world's leading cardiologist , states this : Because humans get atherosclerosis, and atherosclerosis

is a disease only of herbivores, humans also must be

    herbivores.

  • @totalhealth4life There is a reason Dr. Gabriel Cousens , the man who has a 100% cure rate for diabetes , advocates a vegan diet , it cures almost every known disease . I have not been to a doctor in 15 years . I have never been sick more than 48 hours in 10 years . Why ? A simple juicing routine . It may go against what the muscle mags say , but vegans are healthier , stronger and live longer . Elevated homocystein is fixed with b-12 supplement . Humans used to get their b-12 from dirt on veg

  • @MindofaJedi healthier? stronger? You gotta be kidding me? How many vegans are professional athletes??? How many vegans have a lean muscular body? Most vegans are skinny ........lean muscle is responsible for tons of health benefits. If vegans JUST added some grass fed beef and free range chicken and some alaskan wild salmon to their diet it would be the perfect diet.......just as mine is........look it up. its called the PALEOITHIC DIET ......which man had for thousands of years

  • @totalhealth4life I'm not trying to be argumentative , and I must admit both that you look awesome for your age AND that a bit of free range chicken or beef never hurt anyone . As far a vegan athletes there are tons Nick Diaz Strikeforce 170 pound champ is raw food vegan . John Fitch , Gilbert Melendez 155 pound champ . Tony Gonzales broke the all time receptions record for a tight end the year he became a vegetarian . I am not ant-meat really , jus think most of us eat way too much . Peace .

  • @MindofaJedi agreed...........i eat tons of raw organic veggies every day. Good health is not just with one diet or regimen also..........there are different ways to be healthy.......we have to do what works for each one of us

  • @totalhealth4life : I had a friend whom was a vegetarian & got a blood clot in his brain @ 30 yrs old. Turned out he had a (malignant) brain tumor. Even after all the ops & treatments, he passed away 2-3 yrs later. B4 he had a tumor I said to him, "bro, eating all veggies doesn't sound right, humans have been eating meat for 1000's of years". Will never know if not eating meat was the key culprit, but I've wondered. Reading Rico's words seriously tip the scale toward "all veggies = big trouble".

  • @DonTerhune1200cc First of all, being vegetarian does not mean that you eat nothing but vegetables. With a little research you will quickly learn that there are other foods out there, for example, that have more protein than meat. With millions of vegetairans out there, death from this lifestyle is not common. If it was, who truely would do it outside of mandatory dietary needs?

  • @theatreboi0811 : Yea, (veggies aside) beans & nuts have higher protein, so what? Are u really convinced that the source tops meat, chicken & fish? Like I said b4, we've been eating meat for many yrs. Imho Rico has the right idea w/ mixing up a wide variety of true natural foods w/ & meat, chicken, & fish. I don't understand your beef w/ my post, nor do I care to. Me, I prefer not rely on a (virtual) 100% middle eastern type diet. Respectfully, your food choice is yours 4 the taking.

  • @MindofaJedi Way back in 1983, researchers discovered that eating more protein increases the amount of blood your kidneys filter per minute. Many scientists immediately made the leap that a high-protein diet places your kidneys under greater stress. They were proven wrong. Over the past two decades, several studies have found that while protein-rich meals do increase blood flow to the kidneys, this doesn't have an adverse effect on overall kidney function. I'm 56 and never get sick.

  • @totalhealth4life EXCUSE ME SIR, sorry caps, how long have u been working out? Just curious. And, is there any way to get, "ronnie coleman size" without taking steroids? Some people tell me that straight up protien will do all the work, but i don't know. Pleas elet me know.

  • @ilegrow for over 30 years. There is no humanly way possible to look like Ronnie Coleman without doing massive amounts of steroids.......its NOT possible..........you can get big and lean but not that freakish

  • @ilegrow for over 30 years. There is no humanly way possible to look like Ronnie Coleman without doing massive amounts of steroids.......its NOT possible..........you can get big and lean but not that freakish

  • I use free weights at home -and going strong for 8 weeks now -seen some improvement.. I don't train too hard or too heavy to used to form -but I would like to know if I have a good program. Sun Tues Thurs: Biceps(Isolated curl), triceps(one arm curl), shoulders (dumbbell seated press, and rear deltoid raise) Mon Wed Fri, Chest (bench press sometimes I also do dumbbell fies )/Back(Dumbbell row, shoulder )raise) I do 3 sets of 8-12 depending.situps /cardio 3x pr week. Is this effective?I'm 40.

  • @impdream70 NO your program is not good........first of all if you don't train with intensity you will not see much gain at all......if you are just going thru the motions you're sort of wasting your time....also your workout schedule is very bad.........same body parts THREE times a week is not good.....you need to grab a copy of my book

  • @totalhealth4life Thank you! I will change up to ONE time a week per body part with MORE exercises per body part -I think you also mentioned doing heavy cardio (like running for 1/2 hour) after lifting -I had to switch to doing that otherwise I felt wiped out before trying to lift.

  • @impdream70 NOOOOOOOOO not long cardio! it sheds your hard earned muscle

watch this "your cardio is killing you" video HIIT BRO

  • can anyone tell me how to figure out weight on a Nautilus machine? It numbers the weights from 1 to like 20. How the hell do I figure out how many pounds I'm lifting?

  • what about this routine, 5-day split, mon=bi's and tr's tue=legs wed=chest thur=back fri=shoulders sat and sun rest days 3-4 exercises per body part 3-4 sets per exercise 8-12 reps per set 60-90 seconds rest between sets, core and stretching on every session?

  • Just to clarify, when you say "legs and calves," you're saying thighs (quads, hams, glutes) is the major and calves are the minor? And are you treating shoulders, abs and forearms as minor, so they still total to 21 reps? I hope I'm not asking for too much. Thanks

  • @WellConditionedChimp Yes right. Shoulders i do 4 exercises........abs 3 and forearms 3

  • This is "tren-a-ballin" bro, nice good job!

  • rico man, thanks a lot, im gna follow ure workout, its really practical,

    learnt a lot from this

  • @tlascar My pleasure

  • GYM ADDICT!!!

  • @neilrayt only spend 6 hours a week TOTAL at the gym........then i get OUT and GROW! Less is more!

  • When do you take rest, you say chest tri, back bi, leg calf, shoulders

is that like monday, tuesday, wednesday thursday or do you take rest after a workout.

  • Keep up the good work man! I hope I look half as good as you do when I'm that age!

  • Everybody want's to get big, but nobody wants to lift these heavy ass weights

  • so u dont do deadlifts? if u do wen is it on back or leg day

  • @4806577005 no i dont.

  • @totalhealth4life y not? isnt it on a category of compound lifts lyk squat and bench which boost ur testerone level

  • @4806577005 I could ask you about ten things you don't do......everyones got their system...its a great exercise. I just hit my back and hams w different exercises..but thinking about it I'm going to throw it in my routine cause its great to shock your muscles.... good job bro

  • Man if I was living back in the 1920's and went into a coma or was abducted by aliens and then put back on earth now and I saw this video, I would seriously believe that 50 is the new 30

  • Your great, your really really helpful, alot of bodybuilding vids just say the same old stuff but you seem to get down to the things people often dont think of.

  • @babab0y Thanks very much.....

  • I tryed to get the book with the code but it didn't work, am I doing something wrong

  • @bevmauri That was an introductory sale a LONG time ago....sorry

  • see i dont have a good diet and i dont know how to great one, cuz i just denno what i should eat every day like i dont care if i eat the same thing every day at a sertain time i just denno what i should eat, like sure i eat lots of protein from things i see like peanut butter witch is loaded with cal's :( but ya if i new a easy diet to stick to with out taking forever to cook and and be able to eat it any were i could be set, think u could give me one?

  • Good points. 4 different exercises and 3 sets on each. I wonder how many reps for each exercise and at what weight.

  • Great Tips ..and awesome build. Do u work your traps? When

  • @JestersWord75

I work my traps on back day with 450 lb on the shoulder shrug machine

  • @totalhealth4life yeah traps are classed as a back muscle

  • Thanks. yah i wrote on a piece of paper which exercise for which muscle and how many sets. but yah ima start p90x after i plateau on this. i just need to get some mass on me. i drink whey protein but not as much as i should

  • This has helped me alot. i got me some anabolic leucine stack/ mega mens sport vitamins/ whey protein and i made me an exercise chart with major and minor one day. and do this 4 times a week with right nutrition and u will put on lean muscle mass. im 5'10 and a 155 lbs and at the beggining of the year i weighted 130. but what rico connor is saying does work if u put forth the effort

  • @Seriouslyinsaneful

The key is taking action as you have done my friend...good job

  • well ive got many jobs so i dont have time for muscle growth, i did the same simular workouts to u and they suck, you forgot to mention tha we hardgainers with real jobs need roids!

  • @rainxxxx

BS! it only takes me 6 hours a week. You dont have 6 hours a week? Come on....

  • @totalhealth4life of course i have 6 hours, but its the rest of those hours where i'm grafting my ass off so i am inable to recouporate my body for growth!

  • @rainxxxx yah tell me about it

  • Dinosaur training is the best way to go.

  • Thanks man

  • is it good if a 12 year old does weight lifting cuz for some reason i got weight lifting for a elective at school

  • @sikhking3

    Yes..........use light weights

  • How often should i increase the weight im using? every week? bi-week?

    and by how much?

    thanks :)

  • hey rico have you got any videos of urworkouts because i find myselfgoin back an forth swaping and changing exersize routines and its useless ....HELP

  • @doylerzzzz

There are videos for every body part...........LOOK BRO!

  • @totalhealth4life tanks man

  • good stuff

  • Rico, is totalhealth4life your main deal, or simply something you've decided to do on the side? great videos friend, keep posting!

  • @emptyomen It is my passion but doesn't produce income that much.......I am working on business ventures that will allow me to pursue my passion fulltime so that I can give MUCH more content........books, videos, DVDs, ebooks, supplements etc.......

  • @totalhealth4life no doubt, well keep at it. Im sure we ALL hope you get there...and sooner rather than later! good luck

  • how many sets for shoulders Rico?

  • @sunworship8 My EXACT workout is in the shoulders video bro....4 exercises 3 sets of each

  • How often should you fail......i.e. is the optimal situation to fail on the very last rep of the very last set?

  • I agree with this guy. I've been working out for 15 years and I do about the same except I break the muscle groups up more and go 5 days a week. I also do 4 sets for bicepts and tricepts instead of 3. Best of luck to all.

  • some good advice thanks pall

  • i been doin pretty much the same programe for over a little a year with changes to excersise every 5-6 weeks...great programe ..i will never change it

  • looking at the last minit of ur video .. i removed my subscription ..

dude ... stop promoting supplements like this .....

  • subscribed !!!!!!! respects !!!!!!

  • @alshares sweeeeet!

  • Excellent video, this guy knows of what he speaks. This works!

  • Rico Connor - a wop mick?

  • I did basically exactly what you are saying for about 6months last year and still do not look super different. I would say what he is saying will work and makes sense, but nutrition is most important thing because I obviously was not eating enough since I made small gains.

  • great work man, thanks for the tips

  • Awesome shape for your age man - gratz!

  • First - he is 54 and huge. So personally I listen to what he has to say about building muscle. He is right. Eat the right food every 2.5 hrs laced w/ lots of protein. Give your muscles time to heal. They can only handle so much tearing before they need to rebuild. I do my cardio after lifting and on off days.

Diet is so important. Finding that balance is what nets results. How you eat and when you eat will determine growth as long as the effort is there and being done correctly.

  • thanks bro........i've shed about ten lb and am leaner now..........much easier to maintain at the lighter weight........

  • @totalhealth4life I agree. I tried the "body-building" work-out style and it just doesn't work for me. I'm more into body-resistance--not to imply that I am prejudice in anyway towards weight-lifting, I still do it, just not in the same method--and I'm more into "functional HIIT" training.

  • I always found I responded much better from training each body part twice a week. One workout heavy, 6 to 8 reps, next workout 12 to 15 reps. I have had great results doing this. However just because it has worked for me doesn't mean it will work for the next person. So find out what works for you, and stick with it.

  • so what do you do if you want to build endurance?

  • im all natural aswell no supplments no roids nothing just eating food and drinking anything diet isnt important just try to get meats and other protiens if you. if u try to think about it to much u wont gain just remmebr the stuff u need to do go in for 50 mins -1 hour a day then get your ass home dont think about it and ull get gains i promise

  • what the hell do you mean diet is not important!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS 80% OF BODYBUILDING

  • if u want to get bigger and stronger i reccomend triceps and chest monday shoulders and back tuesday. all legs wendsdays. triceps and and chest thursday. biceps and forearms friday do Abs mon wed and fri only. and the repeat workout in the same week like bench do 4 sets 5 heavy and the next time 3 sets of 8. i started doing this at age 15 1/2 my first benchpress max ever was 230 pounds. then i trained with 1 or 2 partners wich is important after 2 years my max was 405.

  • During the recovery period, your body is busy repairing the muscle, no? Doesn't working out during that 48 hours reduce the available resources for the muscle repair? What about hormone levels? I read a study that suggested guys get significant testosterone boosts by working out major opposing muscle groups to fatigue. Also, cortisol (catabolic agent) ramps up when you put your body under intense stress (i.e.; weightlifting) for more than 45 minutes. Isn't an hour and a quarter too much then?

  • why is step no. 2 there.

  • He is right about the science but after lifting weights myself for a while, I went from his workout plan to working out 4 to 5days a week on every muscle group and got results with more strength a little bulkier.

  • im 18 i do chest and triceps Monday and Tuesday i do legs and Wednesday i do shoulders and traps and Thursday i do back and biceps and Friday and Saturday and Sunday rest is this good for me? cause im young or doesn't make a difference if your young or old? thanks :)

  • MY program is every body part once a week, but if you want to work them more than once (strengthening a weak body part to catch up to the others) you should wait 48 hours.. makes perfect sense. Hang in there.....you'll get it

  • @MattFinstein you shit

  • this guy looks fantastic at 54!

  • @janboogy the guy would look fantastic even if he was 21!!

  • @janboogy you should see him now at 56!

  • this guy speaks the truth. Listen to him

  • I think it all varys. I've trained like this guy advises to for years. Never seen any real gains, had perfect nutrition too.

Then I've done some "jail workouts" with a buddy of mine, we lifted quite long and heavy every day, trained every muscle 5 days a week, didnt have lots of proteins either in those months. I got pretty big there.

  • If you're nutrition was perfect you should have been gaining 1lb per week in weight, and therefore you should have got some 'real gains'. Eat more! :)

  • Well trust me it was, I even wrote things down and shit. When i worked out every day I barley had protein and stuff but put on quite some muscles.

Its just weird, I dont seem to get a real pump nor am I ever sore if I only do a few sets on one muscle group, I've tried that so many times with as much weight as I could handle, never woke up sore, never got a good pump, never saw any real gains.

But yea for most people it does work, just not for me. :(

  • i think its more for beginer lifters... for somebody who is more intense you need to be doing more than 3 sets...

  • juice juice juice is his science

  • @Fritzlarer

You can't say that he juices with certainty. He obviously knows his shit. I'm as big as him (if not bigger) and I'm 23. I never juiced. I have a great body but I have a little more body fat than he does. That is due to the fact that I don't eat as healthy as him. Some people probably think I juice in the gym. I just work out 5 days a week and eat enough protein and try to limit my carbs. Get good sleep, don't drink alcohol. That's it. He's not an overgrown monkey man, he's natural.

  • why 1ns a week ? i recomend if you want to grow you should train each body part every 3 days.and eat alot. i just dont think 1n a week is enough.

  • wtf i'm listening to do like what the hell.... but I have a question so what your saying is if I don't get a good morning meal before I workout, the workout i'm using is usless?

  • no a meal two hours before is needed...im talking about when you want to burn fat in the morning

  • Ive been weightlifting for 6 mths now and not noticing any results does the supplements work plz help

  • my muscle doesnt hurt the following day after my exercise. so i workout almost everyday. izit bad like my muscle already got used to it? or just aint pushing hard enough? like they say no pain no gain?

  • @swlryan you aint pushing hard enough. Try doing the same but with 10 or 20 pounds more.

  • @tlast2012dude oh okay.. thanks a lot man!

  • good question, I want the answer as well!

  • yes you need to work them harder and lift harder to feel the pain in your last few reps and don't workout everyday...train each muscle group once a week.

  • Correct, If you want to pack on muscle then you need to train at a higher intesidy...About 3-4 sets with no more then 11 reps...The 10th rep should be the hardest one, that is just bearly a rep...

  • superset is a greate workout when u hit a plateau.

  • Olympic weightlifters aren't trying to get bigger at that point. They only want to strength train...so they can do that.

  • Weightlifting is not bodybuilding. They are two totally different sports.

  • You're awesome.. finally someone that can explain thoroughly the do's and dont's of weightlifting and nutrition. Thanks alot.

  • Hey dude, would this make sense?

    Monday = Chest/Triceps

    Tuesday = Back/Biceps

    Wednesday = Legs/Abs

    Thursday = Chest/Triceps

    Friday = Back/Biceps

    ????

    I

  • I think it would be better to have a rest day in between, but everyone's different.

  • Rico recommends that you do one muscle group a week, but if it only takes 48 hours to recover, you could just work out your entire body every other day.

  • It would take hours to workout your entire body, and most exersices do touch more than one area of the body. But you are right, You could do that. Lol

  • u gotta do shoulders or u will get hurt

  • that is the most idiotic statement I've ever heard in my entire life!!!!!!!!! Wow! What do you have bird legs? Have you ever heard of symmetry?

  • u must be one of those people that go to the gym and hit every machine and load the bar bell with mad weight and do it all wrong. then walk around the gym like u the shit cuz u curled 95 lbs wrong for 3 reps. and then post pics on myspace like u huge.

  • ... i guess people cant take a joke

  • what kind of nutrition would you reccomend for 205 lb trying to bulk

  • 205lb of muscles or fat??

  • lol

  • nice bucket hat that is ideal for training and doing curls for the girls

  • rico..i did legs yesterday but i dun feel sore the next day...is something wrong or is it normal?

  • u need to work out harder simple as that or you are taking good supplements

  • You need to up the amount of weight or change your workout, i no i was in football for 3 years and also did greco and freestyle wresling so yeah , change your work out, email me if you need more help or info

  • its normal, maybe its just your legs are stronger then your other muscles,ur muscles still get a good workout, even if there not sore in the morning

  • u need to change ur workout routine then or just do heavier weight.

  • Enjoy the passion you have for fitness and the confidence you emit. Thanks for the post.

  • Hi Rico

My buddy told me 200 grams of carbs a day is too much, Natural, 182lbs, 40 years old. What is your take on carbs? Thanks!

  • Damn Rico you look amazing at 54, though I'm still young you inspired me. lol

  • Excellent video.

  • Great video m8, good advice you give.

  • can you still build muscle even if you go to calorie defecient??? but get about 1-1.5 grams of protein per body weight?

  • no. u cant. energy in vs energy out....

  • just remember not to eat too much animal protein because it is acidic and can rob calcium from your body. This is why dairy milk has been linked as a leading cause of osteoporosis. Plant protein on the other hand has the exact opposite effect. It is very alkaline, helps restore calcium, maximize bone density, and you cannot eat too much.

  • hey rico do you need to take a week break of no lifting after about 10 weeks of solid training?

  • Hey Rico,

Could you tell me why it's best to do only one muscle group a day? Also, you say it's best to do 6 or 7 hours of exercise a week., but what does that break down to, one hour everyday for 7 straight days, or do you rest for a couple days to recover?

  • he doesnt workout at sat and sunday. he prob only do HIIT that time.

  • In another video you mentioned that the best time to do cardio is right when you wake up, and to just drink some coffee or whatever and go at it for about 10-15 minutes, and then eat breakfast to replace the carbs you need throughout the day. Now, is it the same principle if you are looking to gain weight?

  • Someone at work told me about a friend of her's that was trying out for the basketball team. He was not picked because he was too skinny, so he was fed constantly but never gained weight. Then, they decided to stop feeding him so his body was store all of the nutrients, and this way, he did gain weight, or so she says. But, I remember you saying that doing this puts your body in starvation mode, and in a catabolic state which is never good. Please explain.

  • Let me know when your next book is being write i would like to proof read your material and offer my own insights.

  • excellent video

  • i am 15 and i am 168lb how much protein should i a day i am very carful in what i eat but i am not getting any bigger in my arms and i work out 3 times a week

  • 0.5 through 0.8 per pound of yourself daily for bulking up.

maybe for workout days 168(0.8)=your protein intake for the day.

    less for the other days.
