In this part, the woman in black is the gatekeeper of the cave, who spares the character’s life because she is connected to the Shaman (this will be revealed further in the next part). It will be learned that she was summoned to the cave as a punishment. In essence, the Shaman, gave the beans to the protagonist, so the gatekeeper would know to leave them alone. Also, the holy jug of water will also play into the village-people’s fate.
