I don't know if you all remember this but in the 1999 national championship game when he played for Florida State against Virgina Tech & Michael Vick, he kicked a 50 yard field goal which was called back due to a penalty, then kicked a 55 yarder like it was NOTHING. HE IS THE MAN. Recognize! lol

Janikowski is overrated, he chokes almost everytime the game comes down to him making a game winner.. wow he can make a long kick at the end of a half when his team is getting killed.. he's a good kicker, but not the best.. I'm a Packers and FSU fan, so i'm not being a hater, i'm just be honest.. The Raiders could have made the playoffs last year, but he missed a 32 yard GW against the Cardinals..

Not a fan of the Raiders, but hell, Janikowski is the type of kicker any team would would. He has the most powerful leg in the NFL and I think if he was just a little more accurate (which I am not saying that he is not) that he would make almost all field goal attempts.

@HubbDeezy The article I read years ago was that the Defense was laughing so hard that the could barely rush the kicker thinking that the the distance was way too far. In the same article, Detroit tried to have the field goal disallowed. Dempsy, because of the half foot had a special shoe made and that was the argument. However, it was later shown that it gave no special advantage and thus the record still stands. Amazing story to read about Dempsey and the overcoming his disabilites.
