  • How can we go wrong with Al Bowlly and Ray Noble on a Cole Porter song???

    The answer is we CAN'T!!!

Thanks so much for posting this GREAT song, the wonderful photos and the detailed description of the original musical..

  • I am a big fan of Al Bowlly. Started to hear of him when the goodnoght sweetheart program started to mention his name. Many e-bay purchases since, I have almost all of his and Ray Nobles tunes on cd. Thanks for posting this fantastic performance.

  • Compact Disc?!!

  • Yeah. Loads of this old stuff is now on compact disc ..

  • Definitely.

  • A immaculate performance by Noble and Bowlly and what good sound reproduction on HMV - an expensive buy during the Depression years but worth the money.

  • I think this is in the top 10 of Nobles' hundreds of records and I've heard almost all of them.

  • Exquisitely refined as all Noble performances ... "noblesse oblige" as they say in French :-)

  • Delicious!

  • Beautiful in its simplicity. Thanks!

  • With all this brilliance how can they go wrong indeed? G, I think most Americans believe that without the antagonistic Bush, relationship with Europe will be naturally close and amiable.

  • I haven't heard this song for years. It's in my garage somewhere. Wonderful! 5 stars. genia106 brought me to this dance.

I am in HEAVEN listening to this song. This is MY MUSIC and MY TIME!

Thank you. I love the Sophistication and Elegance.

  • Really a nice recording - Ray was very popular in the U.S. too......

  • Second try...I love Al Bowlly, how sad he was killed inthe Blitz. Are you really at the point where you're casting T? :-)) One of these days we'll connect by phone, yes?

  • I love Al Bowlly. So sad that he was a victim of the Blitz. Are you actually at the point where you're casting T? :-)) One of these days we'll finally connect by phone, yes?
