As far as the cake vs. pie debate goes I think we are all missing the bigger picture. Look at what else is on that plate, because 9 times out of 10 there is usually ice cream. In light of this information I believe that we should abandon the old question (cake or pie?) in favour of a newer far more comprehensive question, Which do you prefer with your ice cream, cake or pie? I of course prefer neither as an unfortunate birth defect has caused eggs to become my life long nemesis.
