  • i think morality can be objective if the standard of judgement is justified. my contention is that the good and the bad is relative to something or, more adequately, someone in particular. i we can arrive at general principles through methodological individualism.

  • I like this video a lot! You state a good case for it not being necessary to have a god to bully people into being moral! Excellent!

One thing you said though puzzles me a little. That was about our being more civilized now. Maybe and I would hope so. But I'm not sure that this is measurable. There are just so many ways inwhich people act uncivilized! Great video in any case! Be well!

  • The Bible = nonsense

  • Good to see you around, man!

Is it moral because god says so?

Does god say so because it's moral?

If the first, would you participate in the utter destruction of a country because god says so?

If it's the second, then the moral principle must be even greater than god and shouldn't change. God would not order "sinners" put to death in one era and spared in another if the morality is transcendent.

  • you always leave me wondering..I enjoyed the video quite!..I fancy your topics and you def know what your talking about

  • I can't handle the morality discussion any longer hehe. Always get in trouble. I believe it is subjective, the same as you. But there are quite a few people, theist and atheist alike, that try to make claims that it's objective. I think the only logical and honest conclusion is that morality is subjective.
