In nyc my class was always taught to do facial with gloves on. It's to protect both parties.

Kathryn during certain procedures gloves are requried according to state board of health. During Micro it is recomened because skin cells are being exfoliated. Not wrong at all, its for the client and esthetician"s protection, you should be more concerned with an esthetician not wearing gloves.

@ChantelNicole702 you need gloves for extractions, acid application, microdermabrasion. I agree, be concerned with someone who does not wear them. WRONG!

I feel bad for people who use acids, peels, botox, lights. It all comes back to bite ya in the butt. This stuff is horrible for you skin, horrible...People will never learn
