My first was a Pierce Arriw back in 75' followed by one of these here Paragonians which with new monokote would be able to fly... Got my first nitro about 6 years back then bought a 3D to match an old Enya I was presented. What a greasy mess! Been flying the dookie out of a brushed EasyGliderE and been flying in air that would be unaccessible without the luxury of lift motor. Brushed and burdened with heavy ol' NiMh challenges me post power. (Hey, that guy's name ain't Willy, that's Bob Hoover!
@xterminatorSD disagree...you can ignore the motor, but when you want it it is not near as boring as having to sink out. I fly several mxed gliders and I often forget the motor is on there! If I need it...it is good stuff.
@YouTees - You dont knpw how to find lift very well. PIlots who know how to fly gliders know motors ruin it. I have both types and removed the motors from all and it is much better.
I built one of these over 30 years ago, put many hours on it. Beautiful, stable big bird. After a few years, unfortunately, winches got too powerful ...
