I don't agree with putting down American lines or Euro lines. Someone might say that the American lines are too showy and don't put any effort into temperament while I've heard others comment that the Euro lines are high strung and destructive. Of course these statements were made by owners of opposing lineage.
It all depends on the breeders. If they temperament test their dogs, socialize them properly, and strive toward the betterment of the breed a bite isn't likely to happen.
im a first time owner of a dobie, previously owned a golden retriever. Does anyone know how to control this dog in future? Any special requirements as i know it is quite a fierce breed.
Dobermann is not a fierce breed. I agree that we have a lot of desbalanced dobermanns today, but look for good breeders, specially European Dobermanns and you will find a friend that you can trust
Work, work and more work...a good dog requires regular training, and this breed is among the most stubborn, but the rewards are great.
I have my fourth and fifth Dobies in the house, sitting at my feet right now.
Just as trainable as your golden, but it will be the boss if you are not. Have high expectations, but do not be mean. The point is to have the dog respect you, not fear you.

You are right. But it was just a work show dog and the public on National Dobermann in Brazil was not prepared to see more power
