Omg..I got chills watching this video..everything that made wrestling what it was to me..so well done..greatest tribute to these great warriors I ever seen..thanks for uploading..
@TheFdale, There was certainly less "action," but there was more storytelling and arguably better angles as there were not so many. You can certainly make the case that WWE draws more money, more people per show and has more TV exposure, but only if you compare them to one regional company. If you took all the regional companies and combined their revenue, their attendance numbers and the number of eyeballs seeing them each week, it's another story. But it's an apples and oranges comparison.
Jim Crockett Promotion's was the best around Bar none. but after Turner took over it went down hill. Turner may have liked Wrestling but he was not serious about it. It was just another Toy on his list of things to buy. NWO for it's time as good but I agree with others who posted...it had no place in this video other then that nice job.
I enjoyed this until I saw NWO....thanks for leaving Hogan,Bishoff and Russo out, that would have ruined it.....but great footage from the glory days :)
Alot of these wrestler's are dead now how sad !!! csc/10 in Lynchburg V.A. (U.S.A.) The back yard of Jim Crockett Promotion's in the 1980's when wrestling was wrestling and not some Oprah Winfrey talk show gone wrong !!! Need more wrestling & less running off at the mouth show !!!! csc/10
Excellent video!!!! The only thing it's missing is Freddie Miller with his classic "Beeee.. There" ending to his rundown of the matches for the upcoming card at the City auditorium then later the Omni.
@speedbuggy In my opinion, TRUER words were NEVER spoken! In my opinion, it REALLY IS disappointing to see how wrestling has gone from "staged combat between good and evil" to being "stand up (comedy)," or a skit from Saturday Night Live, or a "Las Vegas musical inside the 'squared circle!'"
Well, since I included WCW into this, I think the angle that made them explode and reach their greatest heights and their demise (i.e. the last Nitro) have a place here.
I was thinking the samething anyone after crockett sold to turner doesen,t belong if you,er gonna include scott hall include danny spivey as the american starship also where,s the house of humperdink , gary hart and the great kabuki , dennis condery sgt slaughter, pvt jim nelson , adrian street , abdulla the butcher have i left anybody out?

With therocishere on this one. Why was the NWO in there, and what is the deal with the last clip? Did you just need to fill time or something?

There was no better time to be a wrestling fan or no better time for professional wrestling than the 1980's.

I like this video, but the NWO has no place in the video, neither does the last clip.
