on 800 series Fa0 through 3 are switchports of integrated etherswitch module. So you can't use flow on L2 interface. Instead use it on SVI (Vlan Interface) :) By default its interface vlan 1.
thtas some reaL GOOD STUFF CHEERS, I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD DO MORE VIDEOS, LETS SAY ON SUBNETTING AND ALSO ON MORE PROGRAMMING THE SYSTEMS SWITCHES
@Cheeseforsure You need to install SolarWinds Netflow Module 3.7 latest in order to monitor . Also you need to Upgrade NPM V10 in order to install NTA 3.7 . However you can request NTA 3.5 (Older Version) to SolarWinds which still supported with NPM V9 in order to Monitor Netflow traffic .
Cool video, I really like the Solarwinds Toolset, I use it mostly for Discovery tools and PING tools. Oh yeah I use the Monitoring and Perf Mgmt tools too. In the beginning it was just about the easy TFTP server software. This was the hook that if without it, I probably would never have kept this little tool around long enough to learn about all the other cool tools. Thanks SW!
Josh, I really appreciate Solarwinds approach to using YouTube as a marketing and media tool. If I may offer a suggestion, could you include in the description, sample configuration code for the switches/routers that you used in the video. It would speed up the process when trying to empliment a solution.
Hi Josh,
Is it possible to setup netflow on a Cisco 857? I get the following issue. Can you please help?
Router(config)#ip flow-export source fastethernet0
Router(config)#ip flow-export version 5
Router(config)#ip flow-export destination 192.168.107.250 2055
Router(config)#int fastethernet0
Router(config-if)#ip flow egress ^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

Good stuff - can I just suggest getting some of your videos up in HD and/or on Vimeo.
I think it would be worth taking the time because of the improved quality.
Cheers,
