do not argue religion. do not argue faith. for faith cannot be scientifically proven...it is meant to be that way...instead kick back, relax, and watch this awesome scene.
I'm an atheist, and I love this movie. The reason I love it is not because I think it actually happened, but because I really love the story in it, and see it as fictional.
that would make you agnostic, Athiesm means you will never believe in God and try to prove he dosen't exist, Agnotism is believing you need proof of God.
I'm no scientist. i don't know if there really are chariots at the bottom of the red sea, i don't know if Jericho was on a fault line, and i certainly don't KNOW if what i am typing will affect anyone.
All i know is this: i was once blind, but now i see.
i BELIEVE that Jesus is real and is the Christ. i believe that EVERYTHING that happened in the bible is true, including the red sea and Jericho.
and i also believe that what i say will be overlooked, but i know that i will still serve HIM.
@12hutty What video? Are you taking a Disney movie scene as fact? That's like saying the bible is fact when in truth it has so many flaws when introduced to reality. Also you can't argue the Tsunami of 2004 as a logical precedent for such an argument because it was a natural occurring event. The Red Sea being split is not only unnatural, but in fact supernatural work via God in the bible. While I do believe God had a hand in saving our people,I don't follow it's common depiction.
@12hutty Well, it;s nice that you have faith in that, BUT if you read the historical works centered around these events, you'd see that they were all plausible, but also EXTREMELY exaggerated in some parts. We really don't know God's nature... so we can't say what he can and can't do. Only by what we can understand through experience, and experience in evidence suggests otherwise.
The music in this whole scene is AMAZING...again people..MOSES DID NOT DO THIS.. IT WAS ALL GOD! -PS.. I BAWLED MY EYES OUT IN THE THEATER DURING THIS SCENE!
Good quality video, Thanks for the upload. Cool movie.
Historically speaking this never happened, its just ancient fiction, must have been as cool to those ancient people as star wars is to this generation.
@ArteTuga According to actual history, this did happen. And the Red Sea does split apart. I think it happens like once a year or something. So maybe God guided Moses to the Red Sea, just at the right moment when it could split apart.
@Transformers217 there's a small stretch of of the sea that forms a river. It recedes back into the Ocean every so often, as a result you can cross the normally flooded area on foot. However, we have no idea if the Egyptians were ever caught in it, they were more likely cut off.
I also learned that the walls of Jericho did indeed fall as stated in the bible. But that was a hundred years before the Israelites actualy conqered the city. So not everything should be taken at face value.
@vguyver2 According to some Biblical scholars, the Wall of Jericho that fell in the Bible, probably happened exactly as the Bible described it. But that's a whole other discussion about the Old Testament.
And no, what you just described as where Moses and the Israelites crossed, is not the spot where they crossed. The Red Sea parted, and they crossed it. It's a miracle that nobody can really explained in this modern age. We won't know until God decides to reveal what happened.
@Transformers217 What I learned is supported by archaeological digs. I can't agree with your statement on Jericho as evidence points to it not being caused by God, but rather and earthquake a full century before they arrive. Also, who the bible tends to exaggerate a little I think. No offense to those who prefer reading it as fact but it's unlikely that the entire sea actually parted, but rather instead a small area connected to it. It's still gods work, just not at the scale people love.
@vguyver2 Archeological discoveries also show that old Chariots, and Horse bones were found in the deep parts of the Red Sea. Not a shallow area. The fact is that it was a miracle, and no genuine archeological discovery can fully explain it. It's a miracle by God.
And while the Wall of Jericho was caused by an Earthquake, I can still say that it was caused by God, since God created Earthquakes and everything else on mother Earth.
@Transformers217 uh...you do know that sea levels change right? at one time the northeast united states was completely under water, archeologists found a civilization where the black sea now stands. your definition of "miracle" is way to broad. the wall of Jericho falling would be coincidence, not a miracle, it would have been a miracle if it was an earthquake in an area no where near a fault line.
@Transformers217 I agree with you man :) people who try to justify Gods wonders and infinite power by mere science and reason are mistaken and should open their minds and escape the shade our eyes are blinded by :) when the day comes...all will be revealed..all eyes will be open..and all will beleive ^^ God Bless man take care
@ArteTuga Well, people used to think so but recently, they found Egyptian chariot wheels encrusted on the bottom of the Red Sea that date back to around the time this happened.
isn't it forbidden on Muslims and Jews to draw Humans and Animals? and specially prophets?
