ZDP-189 vs M390 Rope Cutting overview

I got an Endura and a Delica full serrated ZDP 189 and I'm very pleased with them, rope cutting beasts and their serrations last forever! Now I'm thinking about to get a Delica plain edge with the same steel, but I wonder if sharpening it would be a nightmare without having diamond rods. Should I get a VG 10 version for EDC instead?

wich steel gets sharper and wich does hold the edge longer?

I can get them both equally sharp.

On rope M390 will hold the edge longer from my tests.

nice ass j!!!lol. hey. ive heard that zdp has low rust resistance. and if m390 is a tool steel does that rust easy too. do you have to oil em up sometimes. i now live in az so its hardly a big deal now. but the river is close.

Very High rust resistance, much higher than ZDP.
