I don't dislike expertvillage because I think the lessons suck, I think they're actually decent and I could learn a thing or two.

The reason I dislike them is because they space what could be a simple 6 minute video into five 1:20 minute videos so they can push more of these GODDAMN ADS. Fucking terrible.

I really hate to be a critic, but you do need to learn how to tune your snare. Its a combination of the drum heads as well as finding the right type of snare wire and tightness. The make and size is not too important, but knowing what your working with is.

That is it allright . The basic shuffle which is tradition. Play that behind any pro rhythm section. they will call you back. Takes some practice to accent 2 & 4 w left but the sound is tight.! Of course there are many variations of the shuffle/ but if you don't know this version you ain't happening.

that's actually not a shuffle at all...that is a shuffle pattern under the jazz triplet...it's one of the basic lines from the Jim Chapin book...it's a full on triplet...please folks, DO NOT confuse this with a shuffle...it should be removed for the heading "shuffle"...for a "real" shuffle, listen to some Jeff Porcaro or Bernard Purdie...and TOTO or SD song will do...

Lol man thanks for this post. I was on a gig 2 days ago and i normally play gospel and the rest of the band pulled some song out of the hat and told me the beat was a jazz shuffel. i said huh? lol. But thank you. I always new the beat but not what it was called.
