Mac os x is not a processor, a processor is more like intel or amd and mac os x is a operating system. Apple owns Mac os x and it is Unix based not completely unix just a foundation of it. The GUI of Mac os x is all apple and the technology that makes it run is all apple, the only real purpose of unix is for security.

The Lenovo doesn't do much for me but I LOVE the MacBook Air. The Toshiba is nice too.

lol @ the Dell ripping the envelope..too chunky..
the thinkpad is really nice...the only thing about it is that it doesn't close tight or seal tightly at the seams like the Macbook Air.

vista is a troublemaker... needs too much rescourser vor fany glossy colour, i really liked the xp design and the win98 was also a good system... but with vista it became too much and then now they already are comming with the seven... whats that?

Ill go for the air. why: No one gets air for games, they get it for presentations and typing things on the move. There is nothing wrong with any of the others but if you want to make a good business appeal, you might want to get the macbook air as people might judge you by what you use in a meeting! And you want something that is reliable.

Anyone who does serious work or gaming is on a desktop, windows or MAC. All laptops are good for is internet, and Microsoft office, which Mac Book Air does fine.

What are you? Some kind of fucking pansie? It's not that heavy. Also, the MacBook may look nice, but for what you pay for, you don't get much. In gaming, Alienware wins, in Overall usefulness, Lenova wins hands down, and in overall coolness, Mac wins. If only the Mac would get better software support, not be such profiteering faggots, and a few other things, I'd like them.

actually, the macbook air is stronger than most any laptop made. it's carved out of a solid block of anodized aluminum, so it's nearly as hard as diamond.
the other laptop would break long before the macbook air would that's for sure.

? ive had 3 lenovos and ive dropped all of them (one of them down a flight of stairs) and they remained completely intact and running fine. macs seem like their built pretty bad, i used myy friends and i noticed you could practically pull apart the two shells that cometogether to make the screens body

Slightly outdated on the hardrive point And the price. X301 has the 120GB Solid State HDD option and 64 GB option. also i got a X300 from Lenovo fully loaded for 2,014.08 + shipping and tax so where is the macbook air on that now? I think its time for a new review. ( posted from a Lenovo X300)

That's why alienware was able to stick a quad-core processor, 2 graphics cards, AND make it nice and portable, inside of a laptop. Really, Apple is just nothing but overpriced eyecandy.

any half-assed company could fit in 2 graphics card and a quad core processor in a laptop if they wished. I disagree on alienware making that thing portable, its nowhere near as light and thin as a mac. look at the new macbook pro, there less than an inch(0.95) thick and weight 5.5 lbs, oh and it has 2 graphics too. The alienware is 1.5 inches thick and weights 8.8 lbs. You can see the quality of any mac, the alienware however looks like random parts put together by dirty mexicans.

I liked that. Toshiba rocks. Macbook and macair is just overpriced brand crap. Atleast with the others you get USB and DVD drives. Saying windows is a virus is ignorant. It is well known windows can do more than osx, all osx can do is pretend to be stylish for kiddies. Also dropping a laptop has nothing to do with your profession dumbass. If i was travelling the practicle aspects of toshiba/lenovo is much better.

Am I the only one that thinks Lenovos are ugly?, look like an old laptop, Apple's MacBook is already very portable. MacBook Air is made for the Wireless World, and for people that travel a lot, that's why is "missing some parts" . You don't buy a laptop that fits in an envelope to keep it in your desk at home.
Lenovo is OK, it's very portable and whatever, but it has Windows on it, and that sucks.

Saying windows is more customizable than mac is just ignorant, and pretty much proves how naive you are, you can upgrade a mac, one word MAC PRO. And more software isn't necessarily better, there are many video converters for windows, way too many, and for mac, there are only about 3, which one of the 3 is free, and serves its purpose. Sure windows has more software, but for whatever you need, there is always a mac version that works just as well. May work even better than the windows version.
