Really awesome actually today as i was playing left 4 dead 2 i was listening to music and this piece came on just as me and my teammates were about to run to the boat to evacuate, i was the only one with near enough full health while everyone else was in the red. Behind i could see a massive horde of zombies coming our way including a tank, no one else except me would have made it so i told them to go on and stayed back with an m60 to hold the horde, i got wiped out but everyone else made it!
They either don't know great music when they hear it.... or they were crying too hard and couldn't control the mouse. (Even if this isn't their type of music, there is no reason to dislike.)
You don't make any sense. You say it was the best piece of music in the film, but then you say it was boring? Well then which was it? Was it good or boring? Spit it out, man.
Best intro to any movie by far. No other movie throws you into the action like that and still pulls you in and works on your emotions within the first few minutes. Great film and amazing soundtrack! 5/5!
Man, I love that during these scene is all silent, and all you hear is the music as the ship is fighting and dying along with it's captain saving the lives of many, including his love and child
@Lumennon I know it. I remember seeing this part and thinking, "I am crying about a scene in Star Trek movie?" Then when I learned that others did the same that I felt better.
@Summergirl9091 With the staff and themes it has, It's basically LOST but in space. It's less hard sci-fi and far more character based than the old ones, I really liked it a lot! I'm not usually into this stuff as much.
I originally thought I would hate the move... but as soon as I watched this opening scene, my mind was permanently turned.

One minute George Kirk was a lieutenant, 12 minutes later he was a legend.

If I were to die doing something insanely heroic, I'd want this song to be the soundtrack of my final three minutes.

This was the last thing I expected from Star Trek. Overall the movie was pretty good, but I will never forget this scene, it was amazing.

Its so horrible when he's asking about their baby and what their gonna name him.
It's just tear wrecking ;__; An the song really makes that scene to it's outmost.
In short, The guy knows what he's doing.

This is the best piece oc music in the film.
But if i had cried, then because of the music was boring and had (almost) no feeling.
Nemesis had a score with great moments of music.
I miss Jerry very much.
ClaptonDennis 2 years ago
Dude, everything about "Nemesis" sucked. Goldsmith's score was decent, with some nice moments, but it was hardly "great."
Giacchino's score to the first third of this film is incredible. The rest was decent.

I almost every time I hear this. That scene shows off just how powerful the love between two people is and how powerful a parent's love really is.
