I got this trick on lock today. I just learned it yesterday. The key to this trick is to scrape the tail and not pop it like a pop shove-it. When you scrape the tail, it automatically pop and spin without flipping. You also need to set up your feet position like Shane O'Neill too. Because that is one of the important thing for this trick. Just go out and try it guys.
