Ahh...The days before slavery...gadget slavery(Smartphones,PDA's,mp3 players,tablets,etc...)I purchased a brand new Hyundai Excel 4 speed stick in March of that year(it's all I could afford then)Pretty fun summer in N.Y.C.My personal favorite years were 1984-1986,'86 being the best of them all,would love to relive that one again!
@jojobug45 Think again, dude. I see $1.05 gas at the Exxon, the National Debt just over $4.32 trillion, fewer video signs at Times Square, squarer looking cars, it was more different than you think! 1992 was sort of in the transition between that "gritty/graffiti NY" of the '70s and '80s and the polished, contemporary one of the past 15 years or so. Just think, this was before Internet! (There's a big difference between 1990-92 and 1997-99 as culture/style really changed through the '90s.)
@pannoni1 I wasn't comparing all that. Of course there are changes. I remember 1992. I was just thinking how 1992 vs 2010 appear to be more similar (more modern looking) than say the 18 year gap b/t 1974 vs 1992.
I remember 92! Such a great time to be alive. Those guys in the crazy outfits say that they are the true Jews that are talked about in the bible. I remember those crazy people. I don't think they're cult is still around. Anyway the music, movies, tv shows. So much good stuff about 92.
@naltrexone23X No. Hasidic Jews aren't what I'm talking about. Look for the guys in the crazy attire. The one holding a picture of Jesus and yelling about rooting out something. lol Those Guys. the black guys. They claim to be "True" Jews and that Jewish people aren't Jews. They were really active back in the 90's.
@rbh1138 Lol. When I was a little girl back in the 90's my mom & I used to walk down the street and we'd see those guys. My mom used to say, "Don't stare at them." Lol. They used to yell & shit. Creepy.
1992 was the year i was born! today Feb 28 is my birthday and i would love to go back to this time and see everything and how it was. i would like to see old style WCBS 2 News when Jim Jensen and Michelle Marsh were on as well as the old style WNBC and WABC but i can see not much has changed at the NBC studios. i'd also love to ride the subway when the fare was $1.15. i have a few memories of this time but only a few. btw, what was that guy ranting about at 1:55 ?
great video, if you need any help getting your video/channel exposed i use a site called mytubeviews . com It has helped 5 of my videos get ranked on the first pages.

@pannoni1
So you're saying that our debt now is lower than 4.32 trillion dollars and that square shaped cars are not fuel efficient?

Doesn't seem much different besides the inline skate fad being gone and the less shiny Times Square.
